Draft at Fischmans.

Brownish black, mocha tinged foam that laces a little bit here and there.
Roasty aroma, sweet chocolate, chicory, carob.

Mild coffee in the taste, chocolate and dry roastiness in the aftertaste.
Up front it's a little sweet for my taste. Medium bodied with a creamy feel.

Tasted in a 9 oz snifter from draft at Consume on February 11, 2017. Look is dark brown with a thin tan head and little lacing. Smell and taste is dark roasted malts. Feel is full in body.

Dark in color - looks dark and rich like a chocolate truffle. Medium coffee nose with cocoa and mocha notes. The mocha esque feel comes through with the smooth mouthfeel and the deep full flavor. An excellent imperial stout. Hits all the right notes without going overboard on the booziness.

2015 Double Rye vintage, poured into a snifter. Looks like a typical RIS. Thick, viscous, a tan head and not a lot of lacing. Smell is mostly of rye whisky and boozy, I find it a bit off putting and slightly detracting from the taste. Taste is surprisingly not as boozy as the smell. Rye whisky is certainly there, but is a less prominent note. Typical heavily roasted malts with very subtle hints of chocolate, vanilla and just the tiniest suggestion of caramel. Sweeter than I expected, but overall very well balanced. Overall I found this to be a very nice offering. There are better barrel-aged offerings in the world, but this was not hard to acquire and is worth picking up.

Nobody has commented on the name, until me.
Here, soon to be Planet Trump, the concept of Might Meets Right is timely.
Since this is a beer site, I won't go much further.
But, consider that this is a beer might give us insight into what has happened to our nation, and might fight its way out of hell by listening to one another... and having a drink with one another.

What appears to me as Temperance's third year of releasing Might Meets Right, they seem to be quite advanced.
A RIS in whiskey barrels can be tricky stuff: and none of the typical foibles are apparent to me.
Not too boozy, being most obvious. But also not too sweet, which happens if the brewer cuts corners and dumps in the sugar to boost the alcohol.

I like Temperance, what it stands for and how it tweaks the Womens Temperance Union, also in Evanston, Illinois.
I enjoyed this RIS, and I will enjoy it again.
