Tasted in a pint glass from draft at The Vine on July 28, 2018. Blonde ale brewed with pineapple. Crisp and refreshing. Good beer for a warm day at the beach.

Unknown vintage; drank 6/26/16 @ the Yarchives.

Semi-opaque yellow/orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a huge, noisy bright white head; decent lace.

Pineapple & peach notes in the nose.

Medium thin mouthfeel.

Pineapple & peach flavors up front; dry yeast notes on the finish.

Sangria-like & easy to sip in the heat; simple but refreshing.

A thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Despite zero agitation, this beer came oozing out of the can, resulting in a cloudy golden color with a 2 inch head. Smell is of pineapples, light hops. Taste is pineapple, a bit of tanginess, mild hops. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

A beautiful and refreshing beer.
I agree with putting this in with fruit beers, but I wish someone more knowledgeable than I made the case for an American Blonde ale... as I see that style trending away from hop domination and more creativity like Greenwood Beach.

This ale is so pretty that, initially, I just wanted to admire it.
But after one taste (and having a thirst to quench after a bike ride), I decided this ale's maximum utility was to be drunk.
Its looks are as intriguing as its aroma... pineapple, but there is more mystery than can be described.
While taste offers little new, the mouthfeel is particularly refreshing.

Being a classically-trained beer consumer (I have focussed on following MJ's reviews around), I have neglected the array of potentially great brewers growing in my backyard. Temperance is one of them, although I've Had only three of their offerings. So, I give .25 extra points Overall to assuage my guilt.
But I look forward to re-taste and re-rate next summer.

9/1 re-taste was a bit disappointing. On tap was different. Flavors were less distinguishable. Dropped .25 in Feel and OA.

Appears a bright yellow and peachy with lacings all around the glass. The aroma was all pineapple. It smelled tropical and refreshing. Flavor wise there was sweet and tart pineapple right up front and then faded with mild hop bitterness. The flavor starts out great but dies out too quickly. The pineapple flavors do linger around for a little bit after a sip. This is a awesome refreshing beer. Outstanding for a 4% and indeed perfect for a beer at the beach.

I LOVE making an (at least) annual foray to the northern Midwest, usually Madison, WI by way of Chicago & Union Station. My three favorite North AmeriCAN cities, in descending order: 1) CAN Francisco; 2) Pittsburgh; 3) Chicago. I try to get to Binney's (South Loop) as well as some of their other locations, but at least that one with its attached Tasting Room. It was there that I scored this gem for The CANQuest (tm).

From the CAN: "Ale with Pineapple"; "Swimsuits on fences. Chances taken. Summer belongs to the carefree and the courageous. Greenwood Beach Blonde embraces summer with a bold addition of pineapple. It's a beer for the opportunities you don't pass up."; "Keep this [CAN] cold for maximum freshness. Drink this beer soon for maximum enjoyment."

I Crack!ed the CAN open and when I got some mild foaming through the vent, I employed a gentle Glug in response. This still created two-plus fingers of foamy, bone-white head with moderate retention that slowly fell away to wisps. By holding it up to the light, I could see that it was highly carbonated, accounting for the foaming action. Color was Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) with NE-quality clarity. Quick, before the Gelt Gang of Croesus, Mammon & Midas shows up, let me advise you that if you would prefer that this not be cloudy, I suggest decanting it very slowly. Nose was fruity, but I am not sure that I would have identified it specifically as pineapple. Mouthfeel was medium, but very effervescent. The taste was definitely pineapple! Wow! It is a bit sweet, especially for a hophead, such as myself, but I CANnot dun them for truth in advertising. Finish was fruity, sweet, very much pineapple. It would not be my choice for the Greenwood Beach cooler, but I know plenty of people who would really dig this, especially in the summer.

The perfect summer beer. The favoring of the pineapple goes perfectly with the beer. Great job temperance
