Notes: As the name implies, this is an unfiltered amber colored ale. Toasty malt character gives way to a mild malt sweetness balanced by earthy hop character. It has a smooth, soft mouth feel with a dry finish and mellow hop flavor.

Pint with a late lunch.... Surprised I haven’t rated this one yet.... Clear amber with a long lasting off white head... Dry toast.. Well balanced residual maltiness helps temper the good PNW bitterness... Very drinkable and refreshing in this heat.

Round from Sockeye. Amber body with very thin , foamy head. Normal malty aroma and taste, nothing memorable or exciting, decent beer, but not my favorite style.

On-tap @ Sockeye, served in a pint glass.

A: Cloudy amber with off-white head.

S: Malty upfront, with pretty big toasted grain aromas and a hint of toast for 4.5%. Nutty too...smoke? Definitely there. Fruity esters are subdued and there is the faintest suggestion of caramel sweetness.

T: More toasted malt base, with amber/toffee sweetness making a subdued appearance in the middle of the flavor profile. Faint earthy hop presence. Some sweeter malt breadiness, possibly cocoa as well? More nuttiness and that faint smoke.

MF: Creamy, medium body.

O: Drinks like a larger malt-forward Amber Ale. Well done and enjoyable for what it is.
