Great head retention and lacing, inviting aroma, and a satisfying, well rounded flavor of citrus and pine. Good body and slightly oily mouthfeel for the style while remaining very drinkable. One of the best out of TN!

Wiseacre is doing Tennessee proud.
This one pours a vibrant copper with a nice fluffy head. The aroma is massive! Huge pine and tropical notes right off the bat. With time I can pick up some citrus in the background and a bit of stonefruit. Very nice. Taste follows through with a danky pine and more grapefruit like citrus. The balance is a bit off on this though with the taste of alcohol pushing its way through and huge tongue scraping bitterness lingering. All in all this is a job very well done by Wiseacre. Beautifully crafted DIPA.

Poured into a taster glass.

A: Opaque yellow/gold with an eggshell white one finger head that lingered. Decent lacing.

S: Tropical notes of mangoes, grapefruit, guava and light caramel.

T: Grapefruit pops up along with mangoes and citrus love. Low bitterness with a caramel sidebar. Really nice and easy drinking for such a high ABV.

M: Medium with medium creamy carbonation.

O: This one surprised me. A damn fine DIPA with staying power. I had to buy some more.

4 pack of cans picked up at McScrooges in Knoxville, TN.

pours a pretty murky brown with an off white head which sinks to a solid ring and faint covering. Lacing is still pretty decent though.

Working hard to find some hop aroma, and there is a strong malt presence. This may be a bit past it's prime.

The taste grew on me. At first I dismissed it as an old DIPA, but eventually I found the blending of the malt and hop bite quite enjoyable. Best I could tell this was a BB date of March 2016. But not sure about that.

Feel was medium, finish was slightly sour.

Overall an interesting beer, worth a revisit.
