Poured from a 12oz bottle into a speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a deep slightly hazy amber with a thin white head.

Aroma is caramel malt with maybe a slight citrus hop.

Taste plays with the idea of hop candy but never goes the whole way because it falls kinda flat at the end.

Stuck between and old and new school pale ale.

From a 12 oz bottle in a snifter via a friend from work---Thanks Randy!
This decent little pale pours a lightly cloudy deep amber with a very nice
head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin sudsy layer, and features
some darn nice sticky lacing. Nose of heavy citrus, breaded malts, honey malts,
and light grain notes. Flavors follow the nose with a bitter grapefruit and light
lemon pulp note mixed with herbal hop notes and touched with breaded malts
and slight grain notes. Nice mouth feel; medium light body, medium light carbonation,
and a moderately clean yet bitter finish.

Overall a decent pale.

Poured a fairly dark, brassy color with a compact white head about 1/2" deep. Foam was persistent and showed a lot of cling to the glass. The beer was very slightly cloudy.

The aroma was biscuit-like malt and some decent citrus. It struck me as grapefruit and orange, but not overly strong. Maybe a faint contribution of pine/resin character, but not very much.

The taste follows, except there is an odd soapy taste that flashes very briefly. A little sweetness from the malt and a bready flavor, and the citrus component still strikes me as grapefruit. The beer is quite bitter in the middle of the taste. Galaxy-hopped brews I have had before are softer and more rounded than this offering.

Feel - there's this odd, creamy/soapy thing going on making this beer feel "slick". Not unpleasant, just noticeable. It is not as carbonated as the visual would suggest.

Overall, this is a serviceable beer, decidedly "average" in my opinion. Not sure if it is an APA - seems like a single-hop beer that took the "some is good, more is better" approach. Wouldn't turn it down, but wouldn't seek it out either.

Unknown bottled date

Pours bright gold with lively carbonation and one finger head.

Tangerine and orange citrus pretty heavy in the aroma. Smells like a heavily hopped IPA more than a PA.

First taste carries the Citrus tones well with a blend of some tartness and moderate bitterness. Happiness seems to fade pretty quickly a few more sips in as the palate adjusts. Not much sweetness or caramel malt flavor. Really takes on little character beyond the first few sips.

Feel is somewhat on the light side and even a bit watery. Bitterness lingers some. For how lively the carbonation looked, it doesn't follow in the feel.

This beer was promising in the nose and first few sips but really backed off once my palate adjusted. Decent for a sessionable pale ale, but otherwise not very flavorful and offers little in the feel.

New brewer for me...really enjoyed it! There is a local brewer that uses galaxy hops on a high gravity beer...this is a session beer. This one is not sold local to me, wish I could try another from them.

Hazy amber color with off-white head. Not much going on on the aroma, just some generic hops, slightly dank and some underlying caramel malt. Taste starts with a slight fruity sweetness but then comes a stale note. Fortunately it disappears quickly and it finishes quite clean with medium to low hop bitterness and lingering grapefruit flavor. Body is on the lighter side but it has a nice mouthfeel. Overall it's a pretty decent pale ale.

Pretty good beer. Floral and peach taste in the beginning. Dry and bitter finish. Not too bitter though. Decent pale ale that I got in a variety packs.

Slightly hazy, medium amber.
Long lasting creamy white head.
Nice aroma, prominent fruit.
Balanced flavor, moderate malty but definitely hoppy. Bitter citrus and clean finish.
Easy drinking.
I seem to always enjoy Galaxy hopped beers.

This is a hazy amber colored beer with a 1.5 finger, rocky white head. The aroma is fruity...citrus-like hoppy aromas, backed by peach. If I search, I may get some slight malt underneath, but hops dominate the smell. The taste is a bit drier than expected, and fresh hop flavors are omnipresent. Grapefruit, orange peel, and a touch of spice. Medium in body and clean in finish, this is a very enjoyable beer.

Pours a clear, amber color. 5/4 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong citrus hops, slight sweet malt, slight pale malt, alcohol, and a hint of pine. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong citrus hops, slight pine, sweet malt, hint of alcohol, hint of earthy malt, and a hint of floral notes. Overall, great appearance, decent aroma, and good body.

12 oz. bottle, no apparent bottled on date, perhaps some coded bottling information on the side. Acquired this as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's. No abv listed on the bottle anywhere.

Poured into a clear balloon snifter.

A - It pours a bright golden orange body, with about a finger of frothy off-white foam head. Moderate scattered spotty lacing. No hop or yeast particulate is visible; slight chill haze. Looks good per the style.

S - Mostly a malt-forward aroma. Pale, dusty, & earthy. Notes of caramel, toffee, & cream. Not overly hoppy, piney, or resinous, but that is passable in a pale ale.

T - Taste follows the nose: mostly a malt forward pale. Dusty caramel malts, some ale yeast, and cardboard esque dryness. Not particularly appealing or stand-out for the genre, but again, passable. Slight indistinct berry / grapey fruitiness in the wake of hops, but again not bitter, piney, or resinous.

M - Feel is crisp, malty, & clean. Medium-light with good carb. Easy-drinking.

Overall, a moderate pale ale from O'Fallon, but worth a try. O'Fallon puts out some solid stuff, so I look forward to more.

Pours a brilliant amber with a two inch cream head. Lots of carbonation visible. Smells kind of like straw. Goes down very smooth floral notes are present with a tiny bit of citrus character. Very well balanced. Overall an impressive easy going pale ale.

I picked this up as part of a build-your-own six pack for $9.99 at the Binny's store in Plainfield, IL, making this single 12oz bottle $1.67. No freshmess date.

The beer poured a clear amber color with just a ½-finger of white head on top that lasted awhile and left good lacing.

Big, fruity, citrus aroma.

Mostly tropical citrus flavors but with a touch of tart green apples as well. There is a mild honey-like sweetness to this and a very slight hop bitterness as well. It's a unique flavor when everything comes together.

Light to medium mouthfeel with lower than average carbonation.

Don't hate it, don't love it. Makes a decent session beer at just 5.1%

From BeerAdvocate Magazine #88 (May 2014):

Clementines, Crackers, Chalky, Tobacco

Light and fluffy Pale Ale that lands on the dry side, nuances like a hint of buttery diacetyl and biscuity grain leave this brew with an interesting edge. Hoppiness comes across as a bit unique though this could just be simply a well put together brew.

Dark copper color with great clarity. There is a half inch of off white head on top. Well there was. Now a fingernail thin layer doesn't quite fully cover the top. Light Brussels lacing. Intense aroma of galaxy hops with a pineapple like scent. The hops are much more subdued than expected after that aroma. It's well balanced with light malt. The mouth is a bit thin but the hops definitely prickle the tongue.

Zeke's Pale ale pours like any other American pale ale a bright orange yellow color with just a 1/4 inch of head. Smell is surprisingly hoppy with a toffee like malt sweetness and some gram cracker. Taste was very balanced with just enough hops to keep it interesting but not to leave a lingering bitterness on the tounge. Body was light to medium.

Overall it drank quite well so it was well crafted. I would get it again.

Zekes is a decent pale ale for sessioning. The beer poured a lighter clear copper with no head and no lace. The scent was slightly malty with some bitter hop flare. The taste is a decent balanced pale ale...sweet malt with bitter hop. Themouthfeel is lighter in body with good so so carbonation. Overall its a good beer....not one for the ages....but good.

Pours a clear amber. Nose is slight oranges with pine. Flavor is nice. Robust enough pale ale. Though, unfortunately, the completely off last beer that I tried is still mildly lingering on my buds and fighting for attention. This one wins out though with a good profile that has nice hop character and a good body. Pleasant drinker.

Served in a Chicago Bears shaker pint glass.

No idea who this Zeke character is (please tell me he's a homicidal plumber...), but I guess I'm trying his namesake beer anyway. It pours a clear amber-brass topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises mild orange zest, grapefruit rind, a pinch of powdered pine bark, and a bit of toffee. The taste focuses on the rinds of the aforementioned fruits, with the toffee washing through meekly, all waiting to be finished by a brusque pine-laden suplex. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, an okay pale ale, nothing special, but something that's drinkable enough to get by.

Nice, clear golden amber, with minimal head.

Aroma is funky. Bready and spicy somehow.

Taste is weird and off. Tinge of bitterness. Heavy body but I can't get past the overwhelming gym shorts and perspiration aroma. Revolting.

Maybe this bottle was old or stored in a heated warehouse too long? Will pick up another bottle if I see one to compare.

12 oz bottle dated 1/30/14 poured into a chalice/pint kinda glass that I dk the name of.

A - pours a nice looking pale orange with moderate head. Decent lacing as you drink.

S - I really don't get anything in the nose. Maybe some mild straw and a touch of sweetness. Some lemon. Nothing too exciting, but nothing off-putting either - which is probably what they're going for.

T - So much more pleasant than the nose. You get a little bit of everything. Some moderate grassy/piney notes finishing with a lemony sweetness. Finishes very abruptly and dry, which I'm not too crazy about. But definitely leaves you wanting more.

M - Mild carbonation and a very solid mouthfeel. Some nice body to it.

O - There's definitely some room for improvement, but I'm a fan. I could see myself drinking quite a few of these in the summer.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden color with a very small, white head of foam. It smelled of citrus, pine and caramel sweetness. Nice bitter bite with citrus and a toasted caramel backbone.
