$ 1.79/12 oz bottle at Vintage Estates, Boardman, OH
Undated bottle at 45 degrees into hand washed and dried imperial pint
Aroma of toffee
Frothy light brown head initially fills entire glass (aggressive pour) but rapidly diminishes (while still pouring) to an irregular 2-3 mm ring and a broken layer
Lacing poor – many 1-2 mm spots remain just making the glass look dirty
Body dark brown, opaque
Flavor sweet, toffee; no hops, no malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate medium, almost syrupy, barely detectable carbonation

Appearance 3, Aroma 3.5, Flavor 3, Palate 2.75, Overall 3

2014 vintage; drank 1/4/15 @ the Yarchives.

Brown/black hue. HUGE dark tan head; strong lace.

Sweet caramel, milk chocolate & nougat nose.

Smells like a candy bar! Medium mouthfeel.

Sweet caramel, milk chocolate & nougat flavors...this tasted like it smelled, like a Twix almost.

Bordered too close to cloying for me, but worth a quaff.

On tap. Served a dark brown color with a nice tan head with some lacing. Aroma of Toffee, chocolate and roaster malt. Taste of toffee, bit of chocolate and roasted malt. Mild bitterness and a dry finish. Fairly full body, smooth and creamy. Nice balance without being overly sweet. Nice seasonal beer from a local brewer.

Medium body as well as carbonation which seemed to dissipate very fast. Aroma was malt, toffee and vanilla. Taste was identical with the vanilla becoming stronger on the finish. Overall it was okay

I bought this off the Binny's single shelf.....this said "toffee" stout as opposed to "winter" stout. It poured an opaque dark with with no head and no lace. The scent had hints of milk chocolate and toffee. The taste was more roasty with vanilla and toffee. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's decent.

Pours a deep dark chocolate brown-black with a 1/2 finger of frothy beige head.

Aroma of unsweetened cocoa, coffee, and upon deeper inhalation melted toffee and Krackle bar, some blood in there too. A little more bitter/roasty/burnt than I'd like for something that advertises as a "toffee" stout.

Flavor is on the roasty side as well, with lots of coffee and dark charred barley, some cocoa notes, and finally a hint of toffee sweetness. The sweetness feels forced, and a touch fake.

Feel is medium bodied, flirting with thick. Moderate carbonation. Parching finish.

Overall this stout isn't totally undrinkable but it's pretty poor as far as sweet stouts go. I'm considering not finishing it.

A really good dark beer pours a dark motor oil look with a deep tan head. Has a good beer smell with a chocolate and slight toffee flavor. Great mouth feel with an easy swallow. As good as Guinness.

Excellent. Been wondering about this one the past few winters. Finally picked up a six and will definitely do it again. Everything I like in a chocolate stout. Black color pours thick. Dark cocoa, some cream, hint of coffee, and yes Toffee in this one. Smell matches the taste with A little more of the toffee on the Nose.

Mmm, love finding a new winter beer. A gem off the mix n' match rack. Really smooth, chocolatey, dark and sweet, but not too sweet. Small head, that lasts for a bit, then dissapears 2 thirds thru. Reminds me of Founders Porter. Hope the price is right if I ever find a six pack.
