On tap at Train Wreck Saloon. Pour looks like the Missouri. Very little head and that dissipated quickly. Expected more hop aroma. Taste is better than the look. Average IPA at best.

On tap at the Schlafly Tap room – Lambert International STL Airport
Full shaker pint glass -12/06/2014

A: Pours a darker caramel amber color body with some nicely filtered clarity to it. A smallish foam head of khaki tan settles over top. Not the strongest in stay power with a few dots and light swaths of lace left tacked to the glass.

S: Malt forward with a base of toasted caramels and baked biscuit. Still plenty of hops to go around however. I get a touch of earthiness with some pine essence and orange zest. Nothing incredibly pungent or cutting edge in any way but really not that bad at all.

T: Biscuit malt with a hit of caramel sweetness. Has that classic orange and pine combination with just a dash of earthy minerals. Moderate level of bitters and the alcohol is completely masked. Finishes out with a dry and zesty bitterness. A bit run of the mill however this is nicely balanced and easy to drink.

M: Moderate light filling given the malt bill with a nice even carbonation lending to a creamy consistency. Mild bitterness to it with a dry semi-resinous finish.

D: Never even heard of these guys before so was intrigued to give them a whirl. What you have is a classic pine and citrus IPA in more of an East Coast format I would say. There are thousands of IPA’s out there just like it. I get this brew is nothing to write home about. Yet here I am sitting at the airport enjoying this fine option.

Not as much of a hoppy flavor as anticipated. The flavor was lacking with some minor woody undertones. It did get better as I let it come closer to room temp, but still underwhelmed. The odor reminded me more that of a pilsner. This was what surprised me the most. I was a bit disappointed by the overall experience of this beer.

Very run of the mill IPA. IBU's at 66 but did not show in the beer.
It is ready drinking due to lack of taste.
If someone wants to learn to like ipa s this is a good starter....

A pretty standard fare IPA, nothing mind blowing here. Had it on tap, which probably helped. Enjoyable, but there are plenty of other stand outs to reach for before this one.

Would purchase again, if there was nothing else better there. Not seeking out though.

UPDATE on 4/3/15:
Had this on tap again and i have to say it just wasn't very pleasant. There is something off with this one every time i have it. A kind of funky stale taste. Like it has started to turn almost.

Would Drink Again: No

A half inch of frothy off white head is present. Brussels lacing. Amber golden colored with a light murkiness. Moderate citrus hop aroma is detectable. The citrus hop element is more prominent in the flavor and is nicely balanced with light malt. Light stickiness is apparent in the mouth. That gentle hop bite lingers nicely and beckons further sips.

Murky and ruddy, orange-brown in color. Slim head. Not a pretty beer. The flavor, however, is excellent. Balanced, assertive....intense hops and malt...wonderful cascade and pale malt smell. Some sweetness. Very drinkable.
