S - 22 oz. bomber with no freshness date.

A - Burnt orange crystal clear. Bone white head that is decent. Lacing doesnt exist, kind of fizzy as well.

S - Burnt honey, toasted oats, citrusy, clove, Pretty big oat presence, kind of overpowering.

T - A lot of oat cerealness, not much of what was in the nose. To be honest it was kind of bland with a hint of flavor here and there. Not much citrus at all. Just a lot of malty oats.

M - Carbonation is pretty well balanced with the weight on the palate. Not bad at all.

D - Easy to drink, besides the huge oat character which can get old pretty quick.

Overall - not really impressed with this offering from O'Fallon which has always been a solid brewer to me, so I'll forget about it and go have another O'Fallon Smoke.

Not much to write about here... Average beer.

A- golden color, cidery like head

S - some malt, no hops

T - a microbrew take on Budwiser (not the tasty Czech variety)

M - Average

O - A dead average beer, I feel like they are attempting to make a microbrew version of Budwiser, my question is why?

NOTE: just got an email advising this is their O'Fallon Gold in a special bottle. Hmmm, I liked this one better fresh in a bottle than on-tap long ago - perhaps an old keg?

A special brew to celebrate the city of O’Fallon’s 150 years – 1856 to 2006. Bomber label has a drawing of the old time city square (I presume).

A filtered and clear amber brew, minimal white heading and little lacing. Weak notes of a grainy malt in the aroma, but a nice taste of a bready malt, although not inspiring.

Lightly carbonated, the mouth is smooth but thin. A steady drinker, it’s one to have on a hot summer day – but I won’t seek out another bottle. I believe this is one made for the mass market of BMC clientele.

Better ambers on the market.
