The original beer from our brewery…a smooth golden ale with three types of barley, two varieties of hops and fresh Kolsch yeast. It’s cold-conditioned and carefully filtered for a clear, beautifully colored, delicious beer.

Light golden in color and crystal clear. Absolutely zero head developed. Quick moving but sparse streams of carbonation. Only a few spots of lace.
A weak blend of yeast and malt. A second sip has a subtly fruitiness that has a distinct presence of strawberries over other fruits. Minimal hops bitterness.
Extremely yeasty taste hit the tongue strong. A light strawberry taste is hidden in the back of the taste. Lack of any hops presence keeps this too sweet.
Just an average thickness in the mouth. Carbonation abounds on the tongue and tingles all the way down.
Just above average. This one would wash down summer picnic food nicely. A definte beer to enjoy in a session if you want something without a lot of bitterness.

A grain front, that fade to a slight lemon middle that is quickly gone, ending with a pinch of bitter.

Dark gold, almsot a bit amber with nearly zero head not longer after the pour. Malty in scent witj a touch of honey. Your takeaway will be malty, but with a little hoppy in taste. Nothing really exciting about this one.

Clear light amber color with almost no head after a few seconds. Aroma is on the malty side, sweet with a touch of honey. Taste is more balanced. It's still malty but there are some earthy hops in the background as well. Body feels medium and carbonation is on the higher side. Not bad but it's really boring.

I drank from a 12oz bottle, nice smooth taste. It was more malty than I had expected but that is what I prefer. No real after taste, nice drink for cooking out late in the day.

DATE TASTED: February 5, 2016... GLASSWARE: Brew at the Zoo pint.. OCCASION: ... APPEARANCE: clear as glass golden body that reveals a flurry of effervescence; creamy white head sits stoutly at a half-finger; strikingly like a champagne in a pint, while leaving traceable smears in its wake... AROMA: fruitiness akin to wild berries and flowers, while malts suggest slight biscuit and woody pulp...further, newly mowed hay and lemongrass crop up...a struggle to pick up the predominant scents... PALATE: smooth, bubbly and mildly textured--a lightly bodied sip-at-will ale, with a lagerish finish...the aftertaste leaves a clean drag, one that is crisp and sharp, due to the Hallertau?... TASTE: malty, with biscuit, woodiness, and sugar... the hoppiness comes with lemongrass, some citrus (orange peel? coriander?) and subtle berry flavor... OVERALL: a solid, "crisp, clean" ale, as the label states--no more, no less... serviceable, mildly flavorful... this mix is solid so far, with the stout and the wheat to go...

Picked up from the brewery, this golden brew is from a 12 ounce bottle. The beer is pale, clear, and has a white head. Clean aroma of pale malt and slightly floral hops. The taste is moderately dry, with enough malt flavor to keep it interesting. Crisp finish. I've always liked cream ales.

Big gold color with huge carbonation bubbles that ultimately leave a very thin, wispy head. Strong grain and caramel aroma. Syrupy sweet flavor with a sharp, metallic bitterness; grapefruit; twinge of brown sugar. Medium bodied but very coarse on the tongue.
A very mediocre beer, very disjointed as far as mixing all the malt and hop components together in a satisfying, well-balanced package. Not a drain pour, but pretty forgettable. Rough and bruising and, personally, I'd rather have a canned Budweiser...
