Overall, a surprising selection for this part of the US. Lots of Rogue, Bell's, SweetWater, and other various Georgia/Local brews. Decent selection for growler fills. Good customer service. Probably your best bet for finding decent beer if headed to vacation in this area.

Located across the parking lot from Webber's package store, the growler station is a new looking location on the inside. It's decorated in upscale breweriana with a huge wall that sells nothing but beer swag (t-shirts, hats, etc.). They have one refrigerated reach-in cooler for bombers and larger bottles near the pour bar and have about 40 taps going at any given moment. I found it to be very neat, tidy and pleasant inside.

The quality depends on what's currently on tap. I drove up from FL on my last visit and wanted to see if they had any breweries beers that didn't distribute to our area. The only one that I could find was 21st amendment's Watermelon beer (pass, I hate watermelon beers), so I was mildly disappointed that they didn't have ANYTHING I couldn't get at home. No Coast, no Duck Rabbit, no Westbrook. Oh well. What they did have was decent enough, just nothing all that rare or exotic.

There is no food served there.

The prices for growler fills was a little bit more than what i'd usually pay at home. It's nice that I could get a 64 oz. growler fill there (stupid Florida) but since they didn't have anything I wanted at the time, no sale.

Will I go back? Sure. No reason not to and i'm sure new kegs go on all the time.

The growler factory has the biggest selection of craft beer on tap that I have ever seen! With 40 taps there is no way you can walk out without something. Great prices compared to other south georgia growler shops. Most on tap have HIGH alcohol, so one glass out of my 64 oz growler will do for one day and then I have plenty more for the rest of the weekend.

Great, friendly staff, who can help you pick out something if you're unsure, but written descriptions from the breweries are available. Ever changing taps, single bottle/packs, and glassware available, so grab what you can because the supply is limited. This is great for those who cannot travel to the actual brewery to get gear. They also supply home brew kits, supplies, and will do special orders. Unfortunately, no samples yet, but picking new beer to try is what it is all about!

Only growler shop on the Georgia/Florida coast between Savannah and Jacksonville. Serving 32 and 64 oz. growlers and pints on premise. Over 35 taps. Will fill their growlers or your own. For a small, resort island like St. Simons, this place is hard to beat.

On a recent visit, some of the beers they had on tap included: Weyerbacher Insanity, Sprecher Piper's Scotch Ale, Dogfish Head 90 Minute, New Belgium Cascara Quad, Dale's Pale, New Holland Four Witches to name a few. They also carry local beers from breweries in the Savannah area.

Prices are reasonable, but not too bad considering it's on a resort island. Staff is friendly, some are more knowledgeable than others, but written descriptions of each beer are available. They also carry a good selection of bottled beer, home brewing supplies, glassware, etc. Worth a stop if you are on St. Simons or want to take a detour off I-95.

Definitely the best place on St. Simons to enjoy a beer.
