A delicious golden ale - not too hoppy or malty with a fruity finish.
It poured a dark golden colour. The beer was well carbonated and poured with a good, white head which dissipated quickly. The nose was grassy and slightly hoppy.
Label on bottle states 20 IBU and 8 EBC.
Would definitely drink again.

Bottle: standard 330mL dark brown bottle, funky and different label. Not my thing, but different at least.
Appearance: clear pale gold with plenty of carbonation and a fluffing two-finger head that dissipates slowly.
Aroma: floral hops and grassy overtones. Not overpowering though, quite a demure aroma, per the Steamrail norm..
Taste: again a fairly flat, lifeless malt flavour that doesn't have much bite or texture.
Aftertaste: zero aftertaste, which is becoming the norm for Steamrail.
Mouth feel: a veritable explosion makes this feel more like a soda than a beer. Metallic fug from the bubbles threaten to overpower the already weak flavours in the beer.
Overall: I did a bit more investigation and discovered that the Steamrail brewing company was created by Coles. That seems about right, as their 3 beers are tasteless, homogenised bollocks designed (assumedly) to appeal to everyone. What we have been left with is little taste, an awkward feel and no upsides. Bollocks!

A: Deep clear gold colour, head dissipates quickly leaving a few bubbles.
S: Grass, copper, hops, a little bit like creamy soda.
T: Nothing really jumps out, just hops and slightly sweet. Slight bitter aftertaste.
M: Carbonation leaves a tangy feel in mouth. Pleasant.
O: A nice beer, would drink again.

Gold Digger is golden ale without a strong malty base and without much hoppiness either. Pretty flavourless.
A: Nice orange colour and a good 4 mm head. 4.25
S: Not a strong aroma. Grainy with very subtle hop aroma. 3.75
T: Not much of a malty base with some unripe fruit flavour and some grassy hops. Not so great. 3
M: Nice and foamy. 4
