Surprisingly not bad. Tasted like a tea to me but in a good way.

Hazy, translucent orange with a soapy white head. Retention is a thin ring. Lacing is smearing, creamy, and excellent.

The nose offers orange rind, orange marmalade, dried apricot, mango, papaya, pineapple, earthy dankness, cannabis, some bready sweetness.

Upfront, there is citrusy candy sweetness. Candied orange peel, orange juice, mango, papaya. Bread and sugar cookie sweetness in the middle. Near the finish you get pine, lemon, pineapple, and banana. The finish and aftertaste offer a lingering bitterness that creeps up on a it, a hoppy herbal bitterness of basil and spices. My burps taste like bananas. I suspect some form of hefeweizen yeast is being used.

The mouthfeel is creamy, slick, oily, smooth. Lightly carbonated. Greasy on the palate.

A really good showcase of dank and tropical fruit flavors. One of the best local beers. A little too malty-sweet, but close to New England in style. A great beer and a pleasure to drink.

16 oz pour at the Old Toad in Rochester, New York.

One of the darker IPAs I've seen- a garnet, murky reddish color. 1 finger small head. Appears well carbonated, not a whole lot of lacing to be seen.

Smells great. Pine and citrus dominate. Some pineapple and grapefruit.

Tastes great as well. The aforementioned pine and citrus, plus a pretty prominent malt flavor. The malt flavor is very earthy, toasty, almost caramel-like. A very well balanced IPA, but would prefer stronger, brighter hop flavors over the malt. A sweeter IPA, when I tend to prefer drier ones. The hop flavors are very nice, nonetheless, and I quite enjoyed the pint.

Mouthfeel is appropriate for the style. Medium bodied, good carbonation.

Would like to look out for more offerings from this new local(ish) brewery.

Drank on tap in a pint glass. The color is dark orange and slightly misty with a nice big head on it that hung around for a bit. The smell is of tropical fruits backed with a nice grassy, malty aroma. Very fruity and not terribly bitter. A really beautiful balance between bitter and sweet which is something you don't necessarily find in a lot of IPA's. This IPA would walk out the door REAL quick every time I put one on at my old bar. Definitely worth checking out if you're an IPA fan.

Awesome IPA, citrusy and well balanced. I've heard a lot of hype about this beer and had high expectations, it did not dissapoint.

A-pours a golden copper color with a white sudsy head
S-pineapple, onion, orange citrus, pine
T-citrus, resin and pine, decent malt backbone
M-medium bodied with average carbonation
O-has the potential to be a nicely crafted IPA, just seems out of balance.
