On-tap at Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is nearly black in color—very dark reddish brown hues are visible near the edges of the glass when it is held up to the light. It poured with delicate lacing covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of dark malts and yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of dark malts and yeast along with notes of chalkiness and hints of dark fruits and peat.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is easy to drink and seems to be an average representation of the style.
