A delicious stout with smells of vanilla and cinnamon on the nose. Tastes match those smells to create a wonderful beer to enjoy any night but especially a chilly one.

On tap at Pacific Plate Brewing Company in Monrovia, CA.
Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, cinnamon stick, vanilla bean, and horchata spice aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, vanilla bean, cinnamon stick, and horchata spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast and spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with nice horchata characteristics that are slightly better in the smell to me.
Serving type: on tap.
