THIS is the best taproom in Barcelona. Great selection and a variety of styles, including barrel aged beers. They also have some excellent tapas. Goof service and a nice and clean location. If in Barcelona, do yourself a favor and drop in.
One of several great beer places within a four block area. Nice selection with 30 on tap in various styles and more in bottles. Their offerings are from all over Europe and the US. The space is very attractive modern design. Food is very good.
They have a bottle shop next door with a lot of quality choices (saw Westvleteren but didn't buy any)
A number of quality US and Belgian beers on tap. I would spend a lot of time here if I lived in Barcelona. Not a ton of local beers, but that’s prob a reflection of the current scene more than the bar.
Great place, Outstanding selection of beers! Good food. Place a bit small, but its a really must visit place. If you dont find what you whant on draft (30 taps with really good things) they have a nice selection of bottles.
BierCaB is in the University area, and not far from Garage and the Mikkeler bar. Their own beer shop is right next door.
It's an interesting place to look at design-wise, with strips of wood suspended in an almost bird's nest kind of way below the black ceiling. The bathroom is central, a box in the center on the left side of the room, that's got glowing yellow walls with beechwood strips that tie in with the visual of the ceiling. Then there's the stone walls behind the bar, and the exposed brick on the walls that kind of matches the wood on the ceiling with the thickness of the brick and the color that almost looks like the wood. The floor is wood, as are the chair seats, which also harken back to the wood above, but there are also metal elements that break it up while at the same time still connecting through their rusted appearance. Mirroring the the glowing light of the bathroom in the center are the bluish-glowing video screens at the front bar that list the beers; and to a certain extent, the greater light that comes from the open kitchen (it's actually windows) at the back of the room. It's really something to look at.
There are 30 beers on tap, many of which cannot be found elsewhere in the area, and for that alone I'd suggest a visit. The bar is metal topped, and the chairs are tall. It's a little darker right there at the bar, which makes it feel somewhat separated from the rest of the dining room. It's polished and neat with high quality taps; and the service is excellent.
For food there are tapas and burgers and sandwiches. It's pub food done the Barcelonian way, and as is always the case, the food in Barcelona is top notch.
Very cool bar with a great selection. About 5 different Cantillon bottles available to drink here and take away for less that 20 euros per bottle. Also an amazing selection of American beers. Very surprised to see Mexican Cake in the cooler. Also about 30 taps. I would highly recommend this place to any BA in Barcelona.
At first glance I would give this spot a definite thumbs up! However once inside and seated service was non-existent. Unless one took a seat at the taps service was unheard of.
I visited on a Tuesday night and the place was somewhat busy but not overly packed. We remained seated for about 15-20 minutes without service. I walked up to the taps and looked over their list hoping that I also may be approached about a beverage selection.
The place looks great and the atmosphere is fantastic. The food is on par or slightly above what I would expect from Barcelona and tourist restaurants/pubs. The service was the poorest of any venue I visited during the week stay.
The selection is phenomenal especially with their 30 taps, definitely worth checking out.
Very cool new beer bar in Barcelona..Has the feel of an American craft beer bar with it's contemporary design and digital menu. About 30 taps and you can check what they have online. Two fridges always stocked with around 100 bottles of Cantillon, Westvleteren, Spanish craft, American craft, you name it.
Great selection for Barcelona. And the food is phenomenal bar food. Great staff. Overall, Biercab has the feel of an American Gastropub with a spanish twist.
A very chic craft brew spot in Barcelona. Lots of rotating taps with a nice bottle selection. A good menu with plenty to keep you picking. Can get quite busy and overwhelming. Packed like sardines. Despite the staff work hard and the taps are changed as soon as something kicks. Follow along their tv menu with your tweets and untappd mentions.
New place in Barcelona, well located. 30 taps and about 300 bottled beers. You can follow the tap list on the screens behind the taps, good selection, one of the owners is the spanish craft brewery Naparbier, so you can find several beers from them on tap. Bottle: some rarities just like vintage Chimay, I guess maybe all kind of belgian Lambic and gueuze, Barley Wines and a great selection of oak aged beers.
Food is surprising: Waghy Burgers, Tuna Burger with Wasabi, SteakTartare, Peruan Ceviche, tipical "patatas bravas", "moules à la Belge", Belgian cheeses, Foie, and also vegetarian food.
Service is very kind, connoisseur staff.
