Notes: Saint of Circumstance is our go-to, easy drinking, any occasion brew. We started by creating this tasty blonde ale using wheat for its lemony flavour and added Citra, Centennial and Amarillo hops. We took it to a whole new level by adding the zest of seasonal citrus. The result, a remarkably refreshing and balanced citrus blonde ale.

A 16oz can poured into a Hermit Thrush tulip. Had 2016 brewing date, so at least 3 months old, but recently stocked in Total Wine. Cloudy, refreshing I suppose. The citrus zest additive I don't like. In practice or result in this case. Stands too much in the forefront in my opinion. I'll try a fresher batch at some point as I really like Collective Arts. But this one was just OK.

What a fabulous brew by my (now) favorite brewers. I am more and more appreciating local fresh micros. Collective Arts is raising the bar. This is a great pint to chill out in the sun with. Cheers

Fours across the board for this sessionable ale. Nice hops, slight bitterness, great finish. I am going to enjoy this six pack.

Nice citrus smell. Light carbonation in mouth but a strong white head when pouring into a cold mug. Citrusy hoppy taste and smooth. Light hops though. Would be a great beer on a hot day.

Solid beer that drinks best cold on a hot day. Light orange and gold pour with a sudsy head. Aroma of lemon zest, apricot and cereal. Pleasant citrus kiss of orange and lemon followed by a light sweet malt. Finishes clean and a bit watery.

I had this beer on tap at a bar named Snakes and Lattes in Toronto, ON.

Look: The beer is gold in colour. You can see through it. The head is white and has a size of half of a finger upon being poured. However, the beer's head ends up dying quickly and there isn't much of it on the surface afterwards.

Smell: The nose is simple. It offers notes of lemon and citrus. There is a little bit of breadiness in the background.

Taste: The palate is also simple. There is an small acid juiciness combined with some fruitiness. As the beer transitions from the front to the back end, it adopts a grainy and bready hop profile that is not too aggressive, because the objective of a Blonde ale is to be pleasant. There is also a little hint of herbal spice.

Feel: There is a little bit of carbonation on the taste buds. However, for a Blonde Ale, Saint of Circumstance's finish is slightly disappointing. In fact, the finish was a little dry.

Overall: This is not the best Blonde Ale I have tried. Whilst I was expecting an easy-drinking and refreshing beer, I ended up with a beer that dried my mouth a little bit during the finishing phase. Other than that, the beer scored in other departments.

A: Clear translucent amber straw yellow colour. The faintest amount of slightly oily looking head remained.

S: Slight bright balanced citrus and faintly spicy smell.

T: Modestly powerful upfront musty bright balanced taste. Light toasted caramel and spicy grassy notes. Pleasantly mild aftertaste.

F: Smooth light carbonation. Not too dry.

O: Great medium strength medium complex taste. Quite refreshing to drink and would buy again. I'm not really tasting the citrus but still very good.
