Can poured into a snifter.
Pours a slightly hazy yellow straw. Slightly off-white and foamy head. Head settles quick. Tons of lacing clings to the glass. Thick collar remains for the entire time I drink.
Aroma is a bit muted, citrus, hint of toastiness, tropical fruit.
Flavor is full of citrus, tropical fruits, pineapple and passionfruit. The malt flavor is a bit cracker-like, and gives a nice balancing feel. Bitterness comes through as grapefruit peel.
Moderate carbonation and medium body, dry, refreshing.
Overall a tasty brew, may be my favorite from Collective Arts so far. Balanced flavors.

473ml can poured into pint glass. From notes.
Pours a murky orange with 1 finger of off-white head that leaves jagged volcanic rock lace as it recedes.
Smells of lemon rind, white grape, bready caramel malt, wet stone and resiny hops.
Tastes of muddled citrus rind, soft bread crust, mineral water and more dank pine resin.
Feels soft and fluffy. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Finishes dry.
Verdict: Highly recommended. Another hit from a very dependable brewery.

Golden bronze with a slight haze, only a thin ring of retention, but it leaves some lace.
Good hop aroma, tangerine, mango, papaya, grassy weed, hints of cat pee on a gooseberry bush.
Good bitterness, but a light sponge toffee sweetness still comes through. Lots of mango, papaya, gooseberry and tangerine, steelie, with a slight garlic and onion flavour as well.
Moderate body has a light acidity and a slightly drying finish.
Thanks BakaGaijin!

Pours hazy honey gold with a chunky, frothy head. Huge tropical, pineapple, citrus aroma. An onslaught of juicy, tropical nelson sauvin and citra hops mix with pineapple, melon, and a myriad of other hop characters in the giant taste. Biscuity malt sweetness is barely noticeable in the back. Mouthcoating bitterness. The finish is long, fruity and very bitter.
A fantastic very hoppy IPA. Super bitter and dank with lots of hop dimensions. A must try for any hophead. It's so impressive how good Ontario IPAs have gotten.

Can from Sobeys Ottawa for $3.50. Would have preferred to have this fresher, but it's still a great beer.

I am unsure of the reason for this one. Don't get me wrong - I like Collective Arts and Ransack the Universe is one of my favourite Canadian beers but this one tastes so similar to it that it really didn't need to be made. I expected a more noticeable variation and I don't just mean in the alcohol content. In fact it has a slightly dirty aftertaste if anything.
Still, it's a good buy.

Appearance - Poured from a 473ML Can into an 8 oz tulip. This beer pours a hazy golden orange color with 2 fingers of perfect foamy white head that lasted for a good 10 minutes and it is now covered by thick lacing When shining light through it carbonation looks moderate but it is supplying that lacing quite well. This is what IPA's should look like!
Aroma - The nose here is really special, I get grapefruit orange pineapple and melon blending so perfectly on the front end of this one, my guess is this is the citra and simcoe working its magic, in behind that comes a very soft earthy aroma and some new world white wine aromas these are very light though and I'm guessing this is the Nelson Sauvin at work. The backbone is a cracker like grainy malt. Definitely an interesting and very pleasant over all aroma.
Taste - I think the flavor profile here is so amazing because it does the exact opposite of what you were expecting. Earthy hops dominate as well as a floral hop, The grapefruit and orange have been tamed down and sit on the back of the tongue the sweetness from the melon and pineapple is almost none existent and just peaks in at the corners of your mouth. There is a fairly strong white wine grape taste on the back end which blends amazingly well with the grainy malts. This is something special.
Feel on the heavier side of light bodied but wouldn't call it medium yet. The carbonation is velvety on the tongue and bitterness is steady through out. This is not Ransack 2.0, it is a totally different beast.
Overall - I didn't know what to expect coming into this beer. I'm used to Collective Arts playing with my senses and creating masterpieces but how many American IPA masterpieces can one brewery create? I guess the answer is a lot. This beers nose had me thinking of a slightly more hopped up Juice bomb like Ransack with a hint of white wine. The flavor profile however couldn't be farther from that. I love when a brewer can create a different yet equally as great experience for each sense and that is what they have done here! cheers!

Poured into my 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass canned on February 08, 2017. Pours a dark hazy orange with a solid two finger sticky white head that leaves behind a thick ring of lace.
Smell apricot, guava, mellon, pinapple, and some grapefruit rind.
Taste follows nicely apricot, guava, pinapple upfront with a gentle kiss of grapefruit in very balanced finish.
Mouthfeel is a solid medium, mild carbonation, a little sticky, not dry at all, and drinks very easy.
Overall this is a very nice North East IPA.
