Canned almost 6 months ago, and bought warm, I suspect hop deterioration may have impacted this one's quality. Pours a cloudy lavender with nary a head. Aromas are tart berry. Flavors are very tart as well without much of the malt backbone that makes me enjoy sours. It is sour and I was thirsty, so it tasted pretty good. I'd try again fresh.

L: Colored similiarly to the can, a reddish purple hazy type of deal. Doesn't seem to be all that fizzy.

S: Fruity fermented raspberries with a hint of green leafy hops.

T: Starts sour and gets sweeter as your palate adjusts. After that, tastes mostly like raspberry puree with a hop cone flavor on the end. Beer should be simple, and brewers should be careful with adjunct ingredients, else it becomes a novelty product.

F: Crisp, refreshing, easy to drink.

O: This particular brew is everything a beer should be and a little more. Collective Arts has better tasting hops than most breweries I know. CA is good at brewing--Their challenge moving forward will be balancing the presentation of information vs. aesthetics. The art should be more than just beautiful, it should serve a purpose.

Very nice sour pours with a frothy head ... I was concerned after I realized the born on date was about four months ago, but maybe not as big a concern with a sour ... That said thoroughly enjoyed and a thumbs up!

Can: Poured a deep reddish color ale with a large pink color foamy head with OK retention and limited lacing. Aroma of fresh raspberry notes with some tart notes and floral undertones is quiet enticing. Taste is also a good mix of fresh raspberry notes with some treat notes and huge floral undertones that are well balanced against the other flavours. Body is pretty full for style with good carbonation. Very enjoyable fruity sour with nice balance of hops.

My only gripe was for the price I should have got a 16oz can for some reason it was sold to me in a 12 oz can variant. Beautiful sour though great raspberry flavor with a slight hop finish, Very clean easy to pound. Overall may pick it up again not sure.

Collective Arts Brewing "Raspberry Dry Hopped Sour"
12 fl. oz. can contract brewed in Waunakee, Wisconsin and coded "10/22/19 13:52"
$4.29 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ

Notes via stream of consciousness: Well it's pink, which for some reason I wasn't expecting. It's a very hazy, even cloudy, deep pink in color beneath a fluffy head of lighter pink foam. The head, however, is dropping before my eyes. Oh well, that's common with sour beers. It smells like raspberry, and there's a bit of mineral to it as well. It suggests acidity. On to the taste... well it's a lot more sour than I thought it would be, which is actually good. It's got a nice acidic bite to it. And there's raspberry. It seems authentic, and actually comes across like eating a real raspberry. So where are the hops? They might be adding to the fruitiness but nothing really stands out to me. What else is there? It's a little floral. and maybe a touch grassy. The grain doesn't really come through but that's OK. OK, that's it for the flavor; in the mouth it's got some mouthfeel from the extra proteins in it, and it's probably light or light-medium in body but it feels fuller. The acidity gives it some bite, and that accentuates the moderate carbonation that's there. It's gently zesty and effervescent. Nice. So what to say about this in the end... it works. It's lively and interesting even if it really just has the two sides to it, sour and raspberry. Nicely done.
