Blueberry (Sour w/ Cacao Nibs)
Collective Arts Brewing
Rich, chocolatey flavours typically belong to porters and stouts. We're throwing you a curveball; a rich, chocolatey...sour. It may sound strange - until you try it. Our winter seasonal sour features sweet blueberries and decadent cocoa, balanced with just the right amount of tart acidity.

I think I might have cellared this one too long- it was very good but the chocolate all but disappeared.
Poured that raspberry red color with a bright pink head and smelled of blueberries.
The taste was straight up blueberry sour and it was nice. Would like to have been able to taste the chocolate as others have, but it was really good without it.
The feel was excellent, surprisingly viscous and it worked for me.
I’d be happy to drink it again, but want to try it fresh next time!

Presentation: 16 oz. can with the canning date on the bottom. Served in a Sensorik glass.
Appearance: The light pink, bubbly, two finger head stays around for a bit and leaves behind a tiny bit of lacing in small dots. It's a murky, bright garnet color.
Smell: It's a fruity aroma of fresh blueberries and lemon.
Taste: The acidic fruit hits the palate first with some blueberry tartness and a strong, lemon juice flavor in there too. The warm, cocoa note shows up as it goes down and lingers in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: It's moderately thick and mostly smooth but a pinch of carbonation comes through as it does down. It starts getting a bit cloying after a while too.
Overall: An interesting combination of flavors that's just a treat to enjoy. A nice surprise from Collective Arts.

Pours a dark purple with soft, pink head.
Smell is sweet and tart with notes of blueberries, raspberries and dark chocolate.
Taste starts sweet with plenty of dark chocolate, then transitions into a sweet and tart vibe with notes of blueberries, raspberries and a hint of orange. The chocolate and the berries work very well together, as does the slight acidity.
Mouthfeel is medium, creamy and well carbonated.
Overall, a very tasty, interesting sour.

473ml can poured into tulip.
Pours a hazy red-purple with one finger of puffy lavender head that leaves a decent sheet of lace as it recedes.
Smells lovely. Blueberry pancakes with chocolate syrup, toffee candy and some red wine tartness.
Tastes of tart blueberries and raspberries, biscuity caramel malt, semisweet chocolate chips, and more soft red wine.
Feels light and airy, like a blueberry pancake. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Soft chocolatey sweetness on the finish.
Verdict: Highly recommended. Really tasty and doesn't overdo it on the additions.

Had on tap. Opaque violet with a pinkish cap, fun. Smell features sour blueberry puree, with a hug of chocolate and a hint of other tart berries. Taste is mostly blueberry until the finish with cocoa dust, slight lemon and dried dark cherry in the background. Feel is lighter but more playful, a dessert sour for warmer months, well made.

Easter in wild times....calls for something a little wild. Let’s see what this beast has to say. Pour into a Spiegelau glass from a Feb brew can. Pours cream soda purple with decent collar to start that settled quickly. Dank, thick and opaque. Nose is indeed front forward cocoa and blueberry, a tart cherry undertone emerges as well. Taste is also front forward sour cherry with chocolate finish. Pucker up goodness here. Recommend for dessert and sipping. Christ would be proud.
