S - Lots of yeasty bread aroma, slight lemon citrus cutting it. Maybe a touch of spice. Like.
M - Very nice, velvety smooth. Pleasantly lighter bodied (but not light).
A - Murky pale orange-yellow color. Finely bubbled head quickly disappears.
T - No real spices evident in flavor. Getting maybe a touch in the aroma. this beer is really letting the yeast and hops dominate the flavor. works pretty well.
O - Very drinkable but just misses for misses for me. Great beer for sitting outdoors on a hot day.

Serving: On tap in a sampler
Served: 30 December 2015
Appearance: Pours a hazy yellow with a creamy white head. Some lacing in the sampler glass.
Smell: Bright, biscuity malts with a pinch of the Belgian banana yeast characteristics and a touch of herbal hoppiness.
Taste: Much like the nose, but with a more assertive yeast characteristic. Not quite to a hefeweizen level, but relatively close. The yeast notes are really nice though. Lots of grassy notes- biscuity malts, hay, fresh cut grass from the hops. Another reviewer said this one was "heavy on the farmhouse" and I'd agree, but unlike other reviewers I really digged it.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with high carbonation. Very drinkable.
Overall: A really enjoyable saison and one I'd definitely pick up if you're not opposed to the yeast notes and farmhouse funk!

Poured from an undated can into 10oz snifter. Hazy straw to golden blonde color with a lot of effervescence. Excellent head retention and lacing. Straw aroma with mild funk notes you would anticipate from a saison. Light and bubbly on the tongue with a softer saison taste. Refreshing at 5.7% - will revisit.

(Served in a tulip)
A- This beer pour a slight hazy apricot body with a murky second pour and a quick carbonation supporting a rocky white head.
S- The smell of cereal grains and musty yeast character turns to a club soda aroma and DMS field corn note that disappears after the first few sips. there is a soft iodine note that comes through as the beer opens up.
T- There is a dry salty character to the hops flavor with a hop spice note in the finish and some more club soda character in the finish. The aftertaste has some cereal grains and pungent hop flavors that blend together. There is a slight sweetness in the finish that grows a touch as it opens.
M- This beer has a light mouthfeel with a full scrubbing fizz in the finish.
O- This beer is pretty clean with some notes of hops and saison yeast but the big carbonation really scrubs away much of the character.

Served from tap in a tumbler at Firkin.
My first Only Child beer. Finally. It pours a lightly hazy goldenrod topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises mild lemon zest, Belgian yeast, grassy hay, light cobweb, light orange zest, and a touch of cardamom. The taste brings in more of the same, the farmhouse character really coming through in a strong way, particularly manifesting itself in the form of cobweb, hay, grass, and yeast. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, a nice saison, heavy on the farmhouse. I look forward to trying more from these folks.
