Pre-story : Was passing through this little town after eating a fantastic lunch at Danna's in Branson (check that place out). It was a snap decision as I kept seeing liquor stores as we drove through the town of Harrison and decided last minute, we need to get a 6 pack of Arkansas beer before we leave the state for good. So I say to my wife, Quick! Stop here!

We turned sharply into the lot and the dark windows made the place seem closed as nothing was lit up on the outside. Once I entered I was greeted by a nice lady with a charming southern accent and asked "what can I do you for?". I said, just looking to pick up a six pack or a 4 pack of Arkansas beer, I'm a craft beer nut. She said I don't drink beer but our beer guy highly recommends Lost Forty from Arkansas and brought out a 4 pack of Trash Panda they just got in today.

They had a bunch of bottles of liquor and liquor aisles but had one very long cooler row of craft beer - usual suspects such as Sweetwater, Bells, Goose Island, New Belgium, etc. But they had about 6 different Arkansas breweries, a few Missouri ones, two Texas ones, and a couple Tennesee ones I think. I walked out of there with a four pack of Mother's MILF for $14.99 and a six pack of Lost Forty's Golden Belgian Pale Ale for $8.69. Decent prices.

Vibe was a spacious, a cold haven with a cement floor and a few bright high-hanging fluorescent lights - to ease the heat outside and brighten the place, respectively. All the beer was ice cold and priced right. That gives the Quality rating a real nice bump. Service was friendly (southern and charming) but not obtrusive. Selection was limited but I got what I needed so no problem there.

I am not sure how this place compares to the other liquor stores in the area as there were at least a dozen, but I'd say I was happy overall. Very cold A/C, nice spacious place with a cement floor, and totally uncluttered and charming. Recommended if you're looking for simply AR beers.

I've tried a lot of different beers available to me in Southwest Missouri. I recently had been in Harrison, AR so I decided to look up some craft beer places to see what I could get in terms of different beers. The selection was fairly decent, although much of the same craft beers there I could get in my market. There were some great Arkansas breweries that only distribute in-state, so I was able to get those and try them out.
