From tasting notes 08/25/17, had on-tap at Round Table Clubhouse in Citrus Heights, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 16oz snifter, hazy and orange in color with a white, half finger width head sitting atop. Lacing is good with broken webbing, lines and spotting decorating the sides of the glass.
Smell - Equally juicy as it is dank. Whiffs of grapefruit, orange, pineapple, mango and pine.
Taste - Dank pine is prominent in the flavor, with lesser citrus and a fair amount of stonefruit pit nuttiness emerging mid-taste. Finish touches on juicy orange and lesser guava.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Decent brew, but a bit too dank for what I would think is the ideal hazy, NE-Style IPA.

This is a great beer. My favorite so far at yard house. Tangerine flavor. Slight smell but makes up for it in taste. Fruity but no too much so. Some bread notes. Start to finish its smooth. Deserves its outstanding rating.

16oz can poured into a snifter
Pours a hazy golden yellow with a one-finger foamy white head that has decent retention. Smells of bright citrus and grassy hops, lemon peel, grapefruit, slightly peppery. Tastes of juicy orange, lemon zest, grassy with a some mango in the finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish.

Consumed July 2018, was a single purchase from Berkeley Bowl or New Moon.
For being billed as a NE ipa, this was relatively mild, just a slight cloudiness as if it was unfiltered, would not have guessed, nor is it classified here as it is on its label. I agree with the designation here. Soft yellow light cloudiness, 1/3" white head. Good hop aromatics. Definitely seems like some proprietary stuff, not much info out there on it, would guess the usual Citra and Mosaic combo these days, was nice. Reliable tropical and citrus fruits interplay.
Taste, yeah this checks the boxes, slightly subdued bitterness but lush waves of tropical and sweet citrus fruit from the hopping. Not quite dry mouth feel, not quite gloop glop hazy ipa territory either, this is probably close to a hybrid of the most popular ipa subgenres these days. Light sweetness. Easy drinker. Alcohol not problematic. Slightly lower carbonation, not problematic. Enough pineapple notes to make me consider Galaxy hops in here too.

Canned 9/27/18.
L: Hazy golden yellow in color. Provides a frothy fingers width cap which settled quickly. Nice amounts of lacing left in the glass.
S: Citrus and grassy on the nose. Big hints of lemon and grapefruit with an herbally/grassy hop presence.
T: Lemony and grassy with biscuity malt presence. Finish has slight hints of sweet mango and pine. Taste drops off fast and really doesn't have much of an after taste.
F: Light in body and weight. Somewhat watery in feel. Appropriately balanced carbonation for the style.
O: Very enjoyable. Light and easy to drink. Something I would revisit. Plus, I like the name. I am glad to have tried. Cheers!

L: Uniformly hazy & cloudy dirty yellow, small head, lots of lacing.
A: Grassy hop and very bright citrus fruit notes, mostly lemon & lime.
T: More fruitiness, a lot of tropical and citrus flavors going on here.
F: Smooth, but a bit light, thin, and low on carbonation. Some nice, easy bitterness.
O: Pretty solid all around hazy. Would have loved a couple more levels up on the carbonation. I'm impressed and now on the lookout for more from Device.

Out of Sacto and Device Brewing comes Curious Haze a 7% NE style IPA.
This beer pours a hazy, light yellow with a fine, thick head and a lacing that clings to the glass.
Smell is tropical and citrus fruits with a grassy/piney nose.
The bitterness doesn't wait time to set in, as it's very upfront, as the fruit falls in, finishing with a dank pine.
This drank a bit thin on the mouthfeel and reminds me more of a West Coast, NE style IPA.

Pours a hazy, light lemon yellow color with quickly dissipating white head leaving minimal lacing. Nose is grassy, piney hops and limey citrus. Taste follows with more citrus ,a bit of bitterness and a tart, citrusy acidic finish. Real tasty.

A very good, northeast style, hazy IPA! Not as tropical/citrus-ey like some of the west coast iterations, but a smooth drinking IPA at 7 percent. This is good enough to crack my top ten!

Can pour to shaker, light yellow, mild haze, thick white head, excellent retention, and some lacing. Grassy, piney nose, includes some tropical fruit, bright lime notes. Taste is bitterness forward but not overly bitter, and brings the light fruits with a heavier hop resinous pine. Mouth is average and almost light, yet the alcohol is well hidden. I could believe this is sessionable and be mistaken later. Carbonation average to light.
