The first clue was the $6 price tag for a 25oz bottle. The second was the color. The third and final clue came when I brought the glass to my nose. This was no normal saison. In fact, I don't think it's a saison at all. Weirdly fruity, abnormally sweet, and only vague funkiness associated with the style. Oddly medicinal and 100% undrinkable. Maybe it was already old when I bought it, but I can't imagine it being appreciably better when fresh. Drain pour.

Murky orange, with a thick head that fades into decent lacing. The smell is very wheats, but lacking funk for the saison. Slight spice with citrus in the taste. Slight carbonation.

Pours a pretty, dark orange. Deeper colors than expected for a saison. Carbonation is looser than expected but pours a nice head with a little retention.
Nose is lacking the typical funk I expect from a saison.
The spice on this is nice and the hop is welcomed but that's about it. There is not much complexity to this.
There is not much body to this one. It's light, refreshing, but forgettable.

Dark orange and murky. Sweet bready smell. Taste is not quite what I'm looking for in a saison. It's spicy, dry and very bitter finish. Not much else really. Still ok and drinkable but not a top notch saison.

Pours a cloudy yellowish orange with white head. Funk, light fruits, spice, and bready wheat on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a slightly sweet and funky note.
