This is a nice pub I have been to a few times the past month. Generally having lunch while on a course. The atmosphere is a typical Canadian interpretation of a British Pub. Can't say I have visited the real thing to make a comparasion. Lots of tables inside and a decent sized bar.
A good selection of draft beers, a lot of imports, not any local micros I can remember. I didn't look at what bottles are available - anytime I can get something decent on tap I will go for it. Nothing spectacular but good stuff like Tetley's, Bass, Guiness and a few others as well as more macro types too.

Service was fine, food was good.

This a nice place if you are looking for Pub Fare. Good staff, friendly, but not unbearably friendly. Nice spread out pub with patio. Lots of good stuff on tap, nothing too special, but they have Strongbow on tap and that is getting rare in T.O. Great fish and chips and burgers, as well as some more expensive entrees. They didn't have Stella glasses last time I was there and that was upseting, but this might have changed. Definitely a nice classy place that isn't too ritzy. Personally I would walk the few more blocks to Smokeless Joe anyday.

We've stopped in a couple of times for dinner and haven't been disappointed. It's more of a restaurant than a bar, but it's still not a bad place to get an import pint in downtown Toronto.

Overall, it's fairly comfortable and there's normally an interesting mix of the after-work crowd and families stopping in for some dinner after shopping at the Eaton Centre. There's a nice looking bar, plenty of dark wood trim, and a mix of tables and booths that make for a cozy atmosphere.

If you're looking for local micros or less common imports, there are plenty of other bars close by that can satisfy that craving (BeerBistro, C'est What?, Smokeless Joe, etc.), but there is a decent mix of that standard UK imports on tap, including Caledonia 80/-, Tetley's, Boddington's. They also have Strongbow on tap regularly as well as something for mainstream tastes (ie. Alexander Keith's). Not a great selection, but it's not hard to find something enjoyable.

The food is mostly pub-style, with some pricier entree items as well. The fish & chips were quite good, and any appetizers and other entrees we've tried have been more than acceptable. Portion sizes are generous, so you probably won't leave hungry. The service was reasonable, but we have had a few problems with our orders. However, these issues were resolved by the staff and it didn't detract from our enjoyment.
