Style: American Amber / Red Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
It was important to us to create a beer that was well balanced and easy drinking. John Carr achieved this with Trout Town American Amber Ale. True to its name TTAA has a beautiful Amber color and produces a near perfect head when pouring. The blend has a very light citrus finish, with balanced malt and hops. By no means is it extreme in anyway. It has a nice light finish and is a great product to enjoy all night long or while relaxing after spending the day in the great outdoors! This style of beer would have been typically brewed in New York State during the early 1900's. IBU's 30-40, Color (SRM) 8-18, ABV 5 – 6%.

12 oz bottle

Pours lightly hazed caramel amber - very modest light khaki head, thin collar and sparse lace.

I pick up just a hint of caramel on the nose.

More caramel, but kinda fleeting in nature on the palate. Easy drinking enough but not overly impressive flavor wise.

Almost decent summer sessioner or would work with non craft drinkers....damning with faint praise I suppose....

12oz bottle. Pours a clear amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, fruity, mild yeast and a bit of toasted grains. Flavor the same as aroma with some toasted grains. some citrus flavors and mild hops bitterness on the end for balance. Palate is a medium body, crisp with moderate carbonation, flavor seems a bit watered down. Finish is sweet malt, fruity some yeast notes and mild bitterness. Overall a good easy drinking and refreshing brew, can easily drink a few of these.
