I've been here before to pick up a bottle or some ice cream and chocolate for the wife, but last night I had a burger and sampled some of the drafts too.
Really impressive selections on tap - including some Bourbon County Barrel Aged Barleywine - and they say it turns over almost on a daily basis. Food was decent, but nothing to get too excited about.
Overall the prices are kind of taxed, but there's a good selection of all kinds of beers (and wine if that's your thing) that you can try there or take home.

Good vibe, decent beers on tap. Selection of beers to go is OK as well. Not my first stop to get some good beers though. Haven't had any of the food but I'm sure it's solid.
Happy hour prices are either really amazing or a buddy and I got lucky once. We got two Austin Beerworks Peacemakers on tap for $1.50 each. Not mad at that.
Come here to hang out on the cool patio, throw a couple back with some friends, nothing more. I would not suggest buying beer to go, groceries, etc. here.

An unusual vibe being a small place to sit and eat, but a convenience store, as well. Food I've had there is decent, but nothing special. They often get limited releases on draft and in bottles. Their draft prices are typical for Austin. However, to go bottle prices are often one of the highest in town for the rarer stuff. I typically only go there for those releases, if I'm desperate.

This place gets a lot of flack for prices on bottles. In the past I've overpaid for a bottle here and there at this place myself. Their draft prices are reasonable. For the Goose Island event it was $1 per ounce, which for the rarity is fine, I've paid more at other, highly rated places in the Austin area. Small, quant atmosphere, good food and good selection beer wise. I have not purchased bottles to go recently so I can not attest to prices as of late, but draft prices were reasonable and in line with other places around town.

Was gonna give them a 1 for the obvious price gouging that happens here with bottles to-go, but somehow they continue to get rare kegs of stuff that are hard to find around town as well, so they get a 2 for that. Cool store but one of THE last places I would go to find a bottle of something.
