We hopped this beer 6 different times. The late addition hops add huge bursts of tropical and citrus flavors without all the bitterness of a traditional IPA. We finish with a massive dose of hops to give it a great aroma and extra kick.

Draft pint at Thou Mayest.
Dark orange, so dark it looked like an old school east coast IPA. Some clarity and a thin layer of off white foam that left behind speckled lace.
Aroma is lightly bitter and piney, faint citrus rind, and a lot of caramel malt, which doesn't bode well.
Taste is heavy on the piney bitterness and caramel malt. Gives the impression of an old school east coast IPA again. Medium bodied, just a little too big and malty to fall on the APA spectrum, in my opinion. Worth a try but one and done for me.

A - A deeper color than most APA's. Good lacing.
S- Not quite IPA but more Pine than APA.
T - I keep coming back to this beer because for me, it's such a solid beer, the APA is good but it has strong hints of IPA bitterness and hops. So, it's a strong APA or mellow IPA, take your pick.
M- Clean and refreshing, not too big but enough to keep me interested.
I keep coming back to this brew. I drift away, have it again and think, "Dam, that's really good." It's not a crazy flavor explosion but it's a really good APA. This brewery is really a must stop if you are in KC.

Served Ina Willi at the brewery. Modest cream colored head with good lacing on the glass. Lots of citrus hop flavor. Very enjoyable beer.

Poured a clear, golden orange color with a small, one-finger head of foam. It smelled of citrus, pine and caramel. Nice orange bite with sweet caramel and toffee. A medium bodied ale.
