Good NEIPA. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer features the standard NE hazy straw yellow color. The big white, foamy head has excellent retention and there are thick foamy rings of lacing on the glass. Flavor includes the usual tropical fruit and grapefruit, with the greapefruity taking a back seat. The dankness level is higher than most NEIPAs and here is a tobacco like quality in the flavor. Nice to see more robust flavor in a NEIPA!!! Mothfeel is crisp, moderately bitter and the tobacco like quality stands out. A well crafted beer, I would drink this one again

Lots of high ratings, but I respectfully disagree.
A bit disappointing.
Grimm’s beers are usually more intense in flavor.
Can date:5/18/22. Great.
Only a 2F head. Dank is the strongest element in the flavor profile.
This is odd considering Citra, El Dorado, and Mosaic are the hops.
The citrus is underwhelming.
I’ve had much better beer from Grimm.

Look: Pours a hazy, opaque, pale golden yellow with a rocky, two finger off white/eggshell colored head of foam. Laces the glass very well.
Aroma: Apricot, pink grapefruit peel, pineapple, papaya and nectarine. Waxy and dry, very slightly tart.
Taste: Apricot preserve upfront followed by soft notes of pineapple jam, starfruit and papaya. Sweet cantaloupe and honeydew. Supple and tropical throughout, with a condensed milk / coconut cream flavor on the finish. Bitterness level is low, but overall still dry and somewhat floral, with a straw like / barnyard note on the aftertaste.
Feel: Crisp but paradoxically creamy. Low carbonation.
Overall: Like every beer that Grimm brews, this was out of this world. I'm very impressed by this.

This beer really feels like the industry standard for New England IPAs. Pours cloudy light gold. Aroma is a perfect blend of light grapefruit and pine. Nothing overwhelming, but aroma is surely there. Taste falls in line, but has more depth - tropical notes, mango, passionfruit, citrus rind. Light bready notes from the malts. Bitterness is there and finishes on the dryer side. Overall, very solid for the style. Doesn't do anything out of the ordinary, but hits thre notes that make a new england a new england.

Garbage compared to every ipa I have tried from Grimm. A big fat waste of money for a 4 pack of watered down hop water. I am not happy about wasting 18.99 on this garbage when I could have gotten a nice juice bomb. I bought it because I trusted the Grimm brand. I guess the buyer beware label finally falls upon Grimm. Edited: canned on 9/8/21. I read all the reviews and noticed that someone said the can must be rolled prior to drinking as stated on the can from a couple years ago. Wel, I gave the can a nice slownlong roll and it is indeed much better. Still a bit watery but much better flavor and aroma. Nice light but Dank and juicy ipa with a nice tongue buzzing bitterness lingering. Actually a very dank juicy ipa just roll it up long and slow . Nice.

Can to snifter. Thursday night Football. Action Green at Lumen field. Go Hawks!
Look: super hazy. Pulpy dark yellow.
Aroma: Citrus and grass.
Taste: Heavy grass, hair spray finish.
Feel: medium body. Good carbonation. Smooth. A little slimy.
Good, but nowhere near what grimm is capable of.

Pours a hazy yellow color. A thumbnail length white and bubbly head shows good retention and lacing.
The nose is very fruity with notes of citrus, tropical and stone fruit: Aromas of mango, pear, orange, lemon, peach, nectarine and pear. Further in, the nose gets increasingly more dank and herbal, including notes of pine, grass and cannabis.
A biscuit and cracker malt base provides a dry backbone for the layers of hops. Juicy flavors of mango, pineapple, peach and pear are supplemented by zesty and pithy notes of grapefruit and orange. Well spiced with peppery, grassy and piney hops. All the flavors come together nicely through a finish that is dry, semi crisp and with a resiny bitterness.
Medium bodied with a smooth and soft mouthfeel. Yet, there is also a touch of crispness from the prickle of the hops. The carbonation is moderate.
This was great. Very juicy, yet, it had some nice notes of bitterness. It was nothing short of crushable.

The woodsy, catty, dank mosaic presence is strong on this one, especially in the aromas. Trending dry with a nice mineralic astringency. A good late-season IPA

Pours a hazy dark yellow with a relatively thin layer of foam. Minimal lacing. Nice tropical smell. Mango & other tropical aromas, with the taste closely mirroring the nose. Smooth and not at all bitter. Nice lingering aftertaste. Overall this is a pleasant, if somewhat unremarkable NEIPA. For somebody like me who isn't all that sophisticated with my reviews, this is middle of the road. Better than many, not quite a standout. The fact that I say that about a beer like this is indicative of how far we've come in the last ~5 years A few years ago this would have been a standout, but there's just so much good beer out there now that it's getting harder and harder to separate from the pack.

Very hazy, but not opaque golden orange; translucent, topped with a soapy white head. Good retention and sheets of lacing.
Smells like mango, peach, grapefruit, pineapple, and earthy weed.
Lots of white peach and tart pineapple upfront; lemon zest, pear candy; soft, buttery biscuit malt, leading into earth, pine, and soft dankness on the finish, but no real bitterness.
Soft and medium-light feel, slightly creamy, moderately carbonated; soft and smooth and moves quickly on the palate.
A really nice balanced NEIPA. Fruity and soft but with dankness and drinkability. Excellent.

A: The beer is very hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that left a small patch of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides.
S: Moderate aromas of pears are present in the nose along with notes of lime.
T: The taste follows the smell but is more complex with flavors of mangos and pears, notes of lime, and hints of eucalyptus - the latter of which are only noticeable in the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I particularly enjoyed the complexity of flavors in the taste of this NEIPA.

Appearance is typical of an IPA. Somewhere between yellow and orange in color. This one is hazy, giving it a smoothie-like appearance. Aroma is hoppy, yet complex. Layers of tropical fruit, yet dank. Taste matches the aroma. It’s also well balanced. Mouthfeel is smooth, yet a little bit on the thin side. That’s not a bad thing though. Overall, this is a great beer and an excellent IPA nonetheless.
