Hazy golden, juicy VT-style double IPA brewed with tons of Citra and Jarrylo. Waves of fruity hop goodness with pronounced notes of passionfruit, melon, citrus, strawberry, and finishing on pear. First wort hopped, hop bursted, hop standed, and dry hopped twice. This beer has the same base as Tesseract — but slightly stronger and with a different hop blend.

The beer comes in light to medium gold, extremely juicy and hazy.
The aroma offers sweet candy, dried strawberries, melon, watermelon, Skittles, Gobstoppers.
The flavor hits of tangerine, citrus peel, very herbaceous and green, a bit of candy and strawberry/melon, citrus peel, onto a medium plus and pronounced bitterness. Creamy and silky.

Bought this in New York not too long ago, as this had a canned date of 5/14. I love Grimm's offerings and once again, this turned out to be a "meal in a can" as there was plenty of flavor and balance to savor from start to finish. I don't know how they do it, but they certainly put the "artisanal" into all of the beers that they brew and this was no exception to that!
Nice pour to this as the beer had an straw hue to it that was cloudy, slightly off, and light around the edges. Plenty of head to be found with a good amount of lacing around the liquid as I worked my way through this. Lots of bright citrus to this as there was orange, lemon, mango, and papaya to be found in the smell as well as the taste. The baked, yeasty notes of the malt came through in the taste as this had the mouthfeel of fresh-baked bread. A bit of onion and dough gave this plenty for me to "chew on" (so to speak) as this felt balanced, juicy, and carbonated enough to stay light-hearted without feeling light in taste. The description of this beer on their website states that this was dry-hopped with Azacca and Columbus hops but let's face it - you're drinking one of these for the wonderful range of flavors that elevate this from a beer to liquid bread, as this had the feel of a fermented loaf that went down so smoothly by itself.
The alcohol was present but not strong as the strength of this beer only became apparent once I finally polished off what was in the can. I don't know Grimm does it but this was like the Tesseract and Lambo Door in that the notes here shone on their own and weren't overshadowed by the yeast, hops, and booze as would be the case with so many other beers. Get a glass of water and rinse out before consuming this - beers don't come more filling or satisfying like this did and those seeking to be filled by something of this sort will be satisfied by the Forcefield that was more like a Force to be reckoned with. Really enjoyable stuff!
