Drank on tap at Depot Street Tavern, Milford, MA
Served in a snifter

Hazy, pale straw yellow appearance. The body was topped by a thin film of bright white froth. Minimal spotty lacing stuck along the glass.

The aroma was really snappy and bright. Big tart lemon notes. Some lactic sourness was also noticeable. Fairly musty. Lots of crisp wheatiness. Fruity. Passionfruit was apparent.

The flavor was similar to the nose but less interesting. Again, tart lemon notes dominated. Lots of lacto sourness. Crisp and wheaty. The beer turned even more sour as it moved along the palate. Bit of rindy bitterness on the back end and in the finish.

Medium bodied, frothy mouthfeel. Creamy and slick on the palate. The liquid contained a fine, moderate effervescence.

Kinetic Cloud is another highly refreshing and overall enjoyable Grimm sour ale that seemed more in the vein of a Berliner Weisse than a typical American wild ale. Although it did not stand out much from many of their other sours, this is a well crafted beer for sure.

Bottle from Whole Foods on the USW.
Pours a mildly hazy sun-kissed straw yellow with thin white head and nice lacing, smells like bright zesty lemon lime soda, guava, slight whiff of spicy/dank hops, taste is tropical fruit juice sweetness up front, lite guava and passionfruit, rounds out to lemony sourness that lingers, light with bright carbonation. Tropically sour delight.

Looks completely opaque straw with creamy white head. Moderate retention, and some spotty lacing.
The aroma is mildly tart, honeydew melon, green apple skin, white peach, pineapple, white grape, white wine, slight grass.
The palate delivers lemon peel, white peach, pineapple, honeydew melon, white grape, white wine, and green apple.
The mouthfeel is medium, somewhat creamy, with moderate carbonation.
A really great sour. Tons of dry hop character.

Tasted at The Jeffery in NYC. Pour: On draft poured into a tulip glass. Appearance: Very light straw in color. Somewhat hazy. Lots of effervescence. Arrived with a large frothy white head. Reduced to a thin film after settling. Moderate glass lacing present. Aroma: Sourish smell on the initial whiff. Citrus notes show up most notably in the lemon category. Earthy with hints of grass. Taste: Somewhat sour with lemony citrus. Follows the nose. Feel is light and crisp. Very drinkable. A bit of barnyard and earthy qualities on the sip. Aftertaste: The mild sour quality lasts throughout, leaving a lingering lemony citrus. The backend reveals some of the malt that is hidden by the initial sour and citrus. Notes: Nice beer. The sour and citrus is pronounced throughout. Well crafted and mellow despite a forward combination of sour and citrus. Result/Rating: Very good/ 4 out of 5.

yet another grimmer bottle that I snagged when fresh that took me a bit to get to. this one is dated September 2016, so a few.months on her.

really cris golden sour w a nice tart lemon from th still present dry hop (which I find adds lasting effects to sours vs the quick fade from an ipa). tart juiciness with an almost crooked stave like vibe to the bite. very refreshing and enjoyable. love grimm.

huge thanks to my man back east for sharing this one. his boxes keep getting better and better, and the grimm stuff is the head of the pack. its insanely rare that i have a beer where i have never heard of one of the hops, but here we are, with a hop thats brand new to me. not sure how they found or sourced all these new zealand oddities, but in this wild sour and somewhat woody brew, its brilliant! first off, i love how grimm uses oak on these styles, berliners and goses and whatnot, it adds such a missing depth and smoothness, more breweries should employ that on the quick sours. the hops here make this, juicy, fresh lime, tagerine, pineapple, all fresh and raw. the sourness is moderate, some funk, fluffy wheat, new wood. great carbonation, micro bubbles, lively and easy to drink. huge fan of these guys and these are the styles they are apparently doing best right now. thanks for the bottle dude, i hope there are more of these in my future. i know for sure there is a bright future for these small lot new zealand hops, what wonderfull newness they bring here! awesome brew!

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into a Lost Abbey Teku glass.
4.25/3.5/3.75/4.25/3.75
A: Very light, cloudy lemon-colored. Topped with more than a finger of tight, stark white head.
S: Smells wheaty and lightly tart. Some apricot.
T/M: Lots of lactic acid. Soft-sweet wheat with tart body and stonefruity edges. Lemony and refreshing, a great hot day beer.
O: It's pleasant and puckery and a damn good alternative to a sort of outdoor gose. Recommended.

Notes
Hops: Wai-iti, Kohatu, Wakatu

Thanks to Mike for this one. 22oz. capped bomber into a Surly teku. Shared with schen9303.

Nose is lemon, citrus and ginseng. Real herbal with a spritzy tartness. Solid but strange. Beer opens lemon, lime and citrus tartness. Some melon in the middle mixed with ginseng and other floral and herbal notes. Light bodied with ample carbonation. This one goes down quenching with a puckering, tart finish.

A very odd sour to be sure but this is worth a try. The flavor profile isn't something you'll come across regularly.

Straw-yellow pour with a very foamy head. Citrus-y smell. The taste on this is great - not too abrasively sour, with some light fruity finishes to it.

Outstanding sour. Grimm is on point with this one. Pours an opaque yellow with minimal head. Lacing tries to be noticed but gives up after a while. Aroma and taste is fantastic - green apple, fresh apple, sour lemon, tangerine, candied orange and kiwi. Mouth watering citrus and puckering tart - wonderful combo. Finishes dry without any stickiness. So good.

This beer is best at higher temps about 50° to bring out citrus and lime.

Poured a yellow gold color with a 4F head which resolved after several minutes,

At the aroma isn't strong: hints of citrus and lime. With warming, more pounced lime and citrus.

The taste is layered, also affected and stronger with warming: citrus, lime, tropical fruit, juicy.

Very tart, juicy, and sour. BA calls it a Wild Ale, but I am not sure about the presence of Brett.
Mildly sour.

The New Zealand hops make the beer's character. Unlike American and European hops, more intense fruit, lime, cities, and juice,

Excellent beer. Buy any of their beers of available.

Hazy straw topped by a large head of clingy white foam. Airy fresh aromas tinged with funk...lemon, earth, grapefruit, hay, and wood. Flavor is a bold hit of sour lemon, woody dryness, lemongrass, apricot, and a slight green pepper note. Light, fluffy feel with an acidity that dries out the gums. Not quite as juicy as the other "kenisis" sours I've had, but an interesting, refreshing beer for sure.

Having been lucky enough to try Telekinesis the other day and tart offerings from Hill Farmstead/Crooked Stave/Arizona Wilderness etc. at CBC Boston last weekend, Kinetic Cloud stands out amongst the crowd. Awesome prickly mouthfeel is the first thing that really awed me, but the lactic note at the end coats the tongue in a gorgeous way. Dry-hopping is present but not overwhelming. Wow. Compliments these Indica bong-packs quite well. Big up to Grimm, keep wrecking the competition.

Yellow, straw, hazy in appearance.

Feel: fairly carbonated, bubbly, slightly fizzy. Prickly on the tongue

This one pours a hazy and very light yellow, with a small head, visible bubbles, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells like sour stone fruit, lemon juice, grapefruit, and sour apple.

This is in the upper 50% of Grimm sours, but...I'm gonna be honest- they're all kinda running together for me. They're all very good, but all of these dry hopped sours are kinda feeling the same after a while. It's got a little bit of a sour brine thing, with a prickly taste, some sour peach and apricot, grapefruit, and fresh squeezed lemon juice.

This is light bodied, with a crisp and clean sourness to it, and a good level of carbonation.

This isn't substantially different than other dry-hopped Grimm sours, but it's still good.

The beer comes in straw to light gold, medium plus haze.

The aroma offers lemon zest, guava, bright, orange, earthy and tart, Sweet Tarts, apricot.

The beer comes off a bit less ripe, instead, offering green pear, Green Apple Bubblepop, medium plus tart, a bit of creamy finish with the oak and soft.

This beer pours a hazy, very dull, light golden straw color reminiscent of watered down lemonade. The head is 2 fingers, creamy and bright white with very solid retention for the style. There are also some rings of lacing left in its wake.

The smell is sour acidic lemon, some rubber tire funk, oak and some citrus and tropical fruit hop notes.

Taste is similar. Starts off juicy and fruity, then you really get the oak mid sip before an excellent mix of funk, sour and bitterness on the finish. Wonderful!

Feel is light and crisp. Very refreshing and ridiculously crushable.

Overall this beer is awesome. A lot of the Grimm dry hopped sours are excellent as far as hop flavors, but really lack a tart/sour punch. Not the case for this beer. It is certainly not going to melt the enamel off your teeth, but I'd give it a 6 out of 10 on the pucker scale, while to me most of their other offerings are about 3 or 4.
