Notes:
Also known as DDH Forcefield
Our recipe for Forcefield has changed a lot from batch to batch. This year’s is similar to last year’s — a single IPA focused around Azacca and Columbus. But this time we used cryo hops, for a megadose of lupulin oils! The result is an intensely hoppy and clean beer with unique notes of fresh chlorophyll, strawberry, sherbet, and big hop resin. Very “green.” Drinkability through the roof.

@ Ridgewood
Mostly clear orange-gold with a small creamy covering on top. Dank Columbus green hops, herbal spice, weed, and grapefruit peel in the nose. Pine resin, herbs, red berries, grapefruit, and light grain. Medium bodied and smooth with a crisp finish. Great dank hoppy character, much more West Coast flavor than usual from these guys.

Canned 06/08/17, it pours clear gold color with a 2 finger white foamy white colored head that was packed with bubbles, dissipating slowly and leaving good foamy lacing as it went down. Rings of lacing stuck around as the brew dropped.
Smells of piney hops, grapefruit rind, orange peel and wet/sticky fresh picked weed mixed with wet cardboard and pie crust. The nose brings caramel, toffee, lemon zest, guava, pineapple, herbs, fresh cut flowers and light peppery spices like coriander and pepper. Smells dank and wet hopped even though it's dry hopped, with the malt base hiding behind the hops.
Taste is where the dry hopping comes through with a mix of dry floral hops, orange peel, lemon zest, fresh cut grass, wet cardboard, potpourri, allspice, white pepper, coriander, tart green apple, clementine, tea leaf, dank weed, tobacco, piney hops or the oily resin, biscuit, star fruit, toasted grains, lemonade and bread crust. Really complex, it's confusing in a good way as it had all kinds of flavors sliding across my tongue and leaving a mix of grains, hops, flowers and piney resin. The aftertaste is similar to a good joint with that herbal taste lingering, but in this case it brings citrus and floral hops characteristics. Really interesting flavor, I like it.
Mouthfeel is thin and watery with mild carbonation, a light bitterness and a nice toasty malt backbone that brings some graham cracker sweetness out before the peppery spices and herbal dry hops take over again and cleanse the palate. Another really tasty and enjoyable offering from Grimm, they do IPA's right.

Pours a clear yellow with fine, not too dense foam.
Smell is citrusy, with some resin and bubble gum and just a hint of cookie dough.
Taste is citrusy with some bubble gum and elder flower. Very well balanced bitterness, and a long, lingering hop bite.
Mouthfeel is medium, and a little sticky. Well carbonated.
I love Grimm. I will try any Grimm I can get my hands on, and this doesn't disappoint, despite the can setting me back about 13 bucks. Great IPA!

Featuring Azacca and Columbus cryo hops... Pale gold and clear with a tall head that left lace lines behind. Aromas were grassy with light touches of pine... Flavor impressions were oily pine resin, as if coating soft pale fruits and delicate grains... Light bodied and clean-finishing - super drinkable beer... Might be a 6/8/17 canning - kinda hard to make-out...
