Hazy gold, leaves some nice lacing after it settles. Smells of lemon peel and guava, with maybe a little pine. Tastes of grapefruit with nice but not overwhelming bitterness. Delish.

16oz can poured into a tulip
Canned 8/16/17

A- pours a slightly hazy pale yellow color with a one-finger creamy white head that has great retention after the pour

S- aroma is citrus-forward with notes of orange zest, grapefruit and orange marmalade. Also notes of onion, garlic and grass

T- flavor follows the citrus nose, but also brings out more fruity notes of guava and red berries. Mid-palate gives some orange zest and slightly sweet malt, the finish is fruity and bitter

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that finishes creamy and smooth

O- solid IPA wit high drinkability

On tap, pours a mostly clear orange-gold. Nice white head leaves lots of lacing. Smell is amazing, with fresh pine resin, guava, citrus and passionfruit in abundance. Taste follows, with a good bitterness that's very appreciated by this beer drinker. Feel is drinkable but not watery. Overall, I like this a whole lot.

A: Poured from the half-growler into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is relatively clear golden yellow with a half-finger of white head on top.

S: Tropical fruit, some citrus and a touch of cat pee.

T: Mild bready malt followed by light hop bitterness - lemons, citrus peel, limes and grapefruit. Word that kept coming to mind is "lemony."

M: Medium in heft, modest carbonation.

O: Very good stuff.

Pours hazy golden with a nice white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange peel and lemon. Taste follows the nose with melon and pineapple. Very nice ddh. Big fan of Grimm.

Canned on 08/16/17, it pours hazy bright gold color with a solid 2 finger whipped foamy head that was snow white colored and full of bubbles of all sizes. The head dissipated very slowly and left excellent foamy rings as it went down. It had those murky NE IPA looks all the way.

Smells of lemon zest, orange peel, grapefruit, lemon meringue, honey, fresh cut grass, floral hops and other floral notes like a flower patch, a whiff of caramel, biscuit and toasted grains. It's very hoppy and full of fresh floral hop notes along with soft fruit accents like pineapple and/or melon, and then it ends with some peppery spices and faint piney notes.

Tastes just a fruity as it does floral with the citrus bitterness jumping forward and bringing clementine, lemon, lime and yuzu to the party to dance with the orange peel, grapefruit, fresh cut grass, floral hops and floral notes. I still get the honey and lemon meringue, as well as the caramel and piney hops and the late flavor additions include graham cracker, biscuit, toffee, roasted grains, brown sugar, sweet malt, coriander and peppery spices. The double dry hopping gives it that floral essence and loops in tea leaves and weed. The malt backbone does a fine job of providing balance.

Feel is slick and thin to the point of almost being watery, with almost no carbonation, a mild bitterness and a super smooth feel as it slides down. Very easy to drink, this was another solid IPA from Grimm.

Over assumed this would be as good as the original, which i haven't consumed.

But I think it's very tasty, straight forward ipa. Was expecting more of a hazy NE ipa, but its just a smashable normal American ipa.

Very good very good, but dont over pay for this 1

Poured from the can a slightly cloudy golden color with a big foamy white head that laces the glass. The nose is huge as you get smells of candied fruit and pine. The flavor is juicy and bit of spice that spread over the tongue with a medium mouthfeel and good carbonation. Overall I prefer the original Lumen but this is an excellent IPA and impressively crisp and clean for a DDH Grimm.

on tap at local favorite spot, bobbique...

I kicked the keg so only got a 1/2 pour....with massive foamy head. smells great...ddh indeed...and with a real fresh homebrew vibe. little watery in the taste...possibly from the end of the keg since it has a end of the glass type feel to it. nice flavor but hard.to get past the watery body. this needs some balls.
