Very Good
Notes: A classic grist of Vienna, Pilsner, and Munich malts and a dose of noble hops come together to create an easy-drinking full-bodied malty lager with an inviting deep golden hue.

Pours a slightly hazy dark yellow, big fluffy white head, nice streaky lacing. Nose is toffee, grassy hops, toast, fresh cut grass. Taste is very balanced, beginning with slight toffee, then going into moderate noble hop bitterness, before finishing slightly dry with some biscuit. Mouthfeel is super crisp and refreshing. A great pleasure to drink.

A: The beer is slightly hazy amber yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that left some specks of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of spicy hops are present in the nose along with hints of toasted malts.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the flavors of toasted malts are a little stronger. There are also some faint hints of alcohol towards the finish.
M: It feels a touch more than medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that this beer was a good representation of a German beer style and particularly liked how the spicy hops helped in balancing out the malty flavors in the taste.

Canned 5/11/20
POurs a med frothy head with med retention, a bit of lacing, very hazy deep orange color

Nose is a lot like a hefe but not quite a hefe, lots of creamy wheat like, with citrus esters, a little tangerine, doughy malt, touch of bubblegum, a little lemongrass, touch of candy as well

Taste brings more hefe characters, creamy wheat, doughy, a little honey note, light phenol spice notes, again a candy like profile with a bit of sweetness but not much, into the citrus again with some tangerine, a touch of fruity bubblegum esters, light spicy hops, a little floral, herbal, and light bitterness, mild sticky but drier finish, citrus, little spicy hops lingering

Mouth is med bod, higher fizzy carb, flash of alcohol warmth

Overall not bad, definitely more bock like than most maibocks, and more hefe like, a bit more hoppy as well, but otherwise decent beer

A: Rich dark orange/light caramel color. Clear as a ninety year old's vision with the wrong glasses; it's cloudy to say the least. Large and mushrooming foam head that isn't quite uniform; excellent retention exceeding 5 min.

S: Light cereal grain with strong-moderate honey sweetness.

M: Soft mineralization and med body. Carbonation is superfine, so it tastes smooth but isn't dry-crisp. Bitterness from hops lends to a lightly dry finish.

T: Big left hook of honey-caramel sweetness. Cedar tinged floral orange blossom. Lavender, biscuit, and a building spice; hints of smoke. This comes across like some specialty cocktail with a honey-doused rim; the maltiness and bitterness both just seem to ramp each other with a medicinally sweet finish minimizing the drinkability.

This is great. Nice persistent white head, golden 98% see-thru body. Sweet, sticky, toffee and bread on the nose, with a little booze coming through. Bready, buiscuity, hoppy aftertaste. Nuts and raisins. Delicious

A: slightly hazy (perhaps chill haze) burnt orange and copper color with a 1 finger frothy tan head

S: sweet grains, sweet grass, and a touch of generic berries. A crisp lager spice alongside a slightly citrusy herbal note. Caramel and more grains behind that

T: big hit of caramel sweetness upfront followed by those heavy earthy grains. Nice lager spice followed by sweet grass. A touch of herbal bitterness at the back of the tongue to balance out the sweetness. Big sweet bready malty backbone to this

M: fuller side of medium with high carbonation. Really feels full in the mouth

O: pretty tasty Maibock. Nice sweetness with a bit of hops to balance. Easy to drink whilst behind full of malts

Pours into a stein a rich deep golden with a near full finger white head atop.Caramel and vegetal notes in the nose.Flavors of caramel and white grape up front on the palate followed by mildly toasted bread dough and a shot spicy hops in a lingering finish.A really nice and somewhat warming spring bock, seems bigger than what it is.Very well made, highly recommend if you are a fan of the style.

Pours a clear golden amber color with visible carbonation. A large foam head displays good retention. Nice look.

The nose opens with notes of sweet cereal grain, honey and cookie dough. A light hint of sulfur quickly fades and gives way to aromas of bready malt, a hint of lemon and grass.

Well balanced between malt sweetness and hops bitterness. Notes of bready, biscuity, caramel and lightly toasted malts are paired with a sweet but mostly clean alcohol spice that provides a nice kick. The hops bitterness is assertive with grassy and earthy spicy, resiny and with notes of lemon.

Medium to slightly full bodied. The mouthfeel is crisp and the finish is dry. The carbonation is lively.

This was a very enjoyable Maibock. It had a nice alcohol kick yet it was so well balanced that it was never boozy. I would have again.
