Poured a slightly cloudy orange-gold body with minimal head and lace. Aroma has notes that slightly resemble tropical fruits (something akin to pineapple, peach and mango). Mild and light-bodied beer that is juicy and plush with a sugary, tropical fruit sweetness along with nominal (read: barely there) bitterness and this beer is real easy to drink.

Enjoyed a fresh draft pint at Brookton's Market Tavern Valentine's Day. Great smell, excellent head retention and lacing. Not quite enough bitterness in the hopping for my taste, but for an easy-drinking polite tasty pale ale, this made me glad to be in Brooktondale again. Grimm ale from Brooklyn drunk in Brooktondale right across the street from Sixmile Creek: might be a mystical fluvial theme here? For sure the "I" in this IPA doesn't signify the India long-distance bitter-hopped trade ales of yore; maybe it's short for "I am Easy," or "I'm Sweet." For sure "my waves are flowing gently on the table."

Canned 11/14/23.

L: Pours a hazy dark orange with a short white fluffy head that sticks around the glass and retains well on top. Visible upwardly mobile bubbles. Nice splotchy lacing.

S: Aromas of ripe apricot and mango.

T: Ripe citrus up front, some grapefruit in the middle. Finishes dry, slightly bitter, and a bit metallic.

F: Medium mouthfeel and carbonation.

O: The taste doesn't quite live up to the appearance and aroma, but this is still an enjoyable IPA.

16oz can.
L: Cloudy, off-orange colour with a small head.
S: Overripe tropical fruit. A little pithy, a little herbal.
T: Follows the nose. Very herbal. Loads of pith and hemp.
F: Medium body, very dry.
O: Drunk cold, this is a bitter version of a low-grade NEIPA. As it warms, it becomes much more leafy and herbal. It ends super dry and resinous. Not at all juicy.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy orange-yellow color with a small head of white foam. The head fade rather fast leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is rather strong of a bready malt and orange juice aroma mixed with notes of grapefruit and pear. Along with these comes some light pineapple and papaya. Overall, rather fruity and sweet.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet orange juice and bready/doughy flavor mixed with a touch of pineapple. Along with these flavors comes tastes of grapefruit and a touch of pine. As the taste advances the sweet gets more intense while the bready gets lighter. Toward the end a hint of graininess and a even bigger surge of fruit hits the tongue, leaving one with a very orange and fruit juicy taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a moderate carbonation level. Overall, nice for the orange juice flavors, making a nice drinker.
Overall – A nice fruity and juicy IPA with lots of orange juice flavor. A good one to try if you get the opportunity.

Not as sweet or fruity as other NE IPAs. Slightly hazy yellow, lots of lace, first beer of vacation so delicious. Pretty easy drinking, on vacation here in New York, hope to visit this brewery.

This is a 16 oz can. From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 03/ 08/ 2023 12:08:43"

Appearance: The body is a pale yellow color which is nearly opaque. Fuzzy and dark shadows are visible through the lemon gummy-like bodily appearance. the head is dense and white with a somewhat creamy texture. It has ripples across the surface and it looks very nice. It has excellent head retention and fine sheets of lacing on the glass.

Aroma: It has a light bit of white pepper and cabbage on the nose. The pepper aroma becomes stronger as the beer rests.

Taste: Up front there is mango and some papaya. Near the middle there is a very strong tea and hemp flavor with notes of hop bine oil. Some sweet hay grass to the rear of the palate and the sweetness lingers on.

Mouthfeel: It is light bodied and very easy to drink. There is an herbal sweetness to the beer that is pervasive which is pleasant but it might not be to everyone's taste.

Overall: The beer had a nice sweet flavor which was a bit like sweet grass, hay, hemp, and straw. There were some notes of mango and papaya up front but they are quickly replaced by this grassy sweetness. It is almost honey-like. I think it would be relevant to point out that this beer doesn't taste grassy or vegital but rather it possesses some of the sweeter characteristics that are found in grass without the negative and unpleasant ones. This beer is pleasant and a bit different but it might not be for everyone. Those who don't enjoy black tea for instance might not enjoy this beer.

I would buy it again because it was a very well made beer and it was very enjoyable. I would also recommend at least trying a single can or pour of this. At first I was a bit worried because there wasn't a lot of aroma, and the aroma that was present was not the best, but the sweet grassy flavors of the beer were so good that it quickly won me over.

3d review. Like it. Chalky, pineapple creamsicle.

a) Pours a gold haze with white croppy, lacey head.
s) ample w/ pineapple first up on the nose.
t) Flavors add mango, a bit of sour flowers almost wilted, as well some pine bite.
f) Chalky resiny bitterness, great mouth feel.
o) Original and well made.
