Pours a hazy golden but not in that murky orange brown way. Great head retention. Unripe mango and tangerine on the nose. Getting some freshly squeezed orange juice tones, some of that unripe mango as well. The body is a little light so this does kind of have more of a Spindrift/flavored seltzer vibe to it more so than an IPA. Grimm hasn't done Citra poorly but it certainly hasn't done it full justice either.

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a 4-pack for $13.99. Canned on 5/31/22, so this is exactly 4 weeks old.
Look: Pours a hazy orange juicy/pineapple juicy color. A nice, frothy head quickly reduced to a very thin layer.
Smell: Citrus and tropical notes abound - orange juice, grapefruit zest, and pineapple gummies. Green bell pepper notes on the back end along with green grass. Touch of spiciness.
Taste: Super drinkable and refreshing. Up front, it's all citrus all the time - orange and grapefruit juice. The finish lingers long and is very pithy and moderately bitter. There is a bit of acidity on the palate, which is good in my opinion for this type of beer. A bit of chalkiness/hop-burn on the finish. The beer is sweet up front and dry on the finish.
Feel: Has a nice, soft mouthfeel. Appropriately carbonated.
Overall: I like this a lot. For an all-citra IPA, it's what I would expect (all citrus, all the time) and it hits the spot. I'm not sure if this is appropriately classified as an American IPA; I would tend to label it as a New England IPA instead. My biggest criticism of this beer is that I don't think that it has a very long shelf life. I opened a can when I first purchased this about 2 weeks ago and it tasted very fresh and delicious. Sad to say that it seems to be starting to decline at only 4 weeks old.

BRIGHT LIGHT is an all-Citra IPA brewed with both Grimm and Prison City’s lots of hand-selected Citra hops, and a grist combining the grain bills of Lumen and Four Piece Citra. Pineapple, orange creamsicle, and freshly zested grapefruit lead on the nose, with extra pulp orange juice and cantaloupe on the palate. Malted oats and wheat lend to a satisfying medium body tempered by a dry finish.
Note: My 250th beer review.
