Visited 2021-10-10, a Sunday afternoon. Had three beers all based on staff recommendations:
(1) Recommend a beer that you think is impressive? The Open Work 2020. I am *super impressed*
(2) I live near Seattle and we get a lot of hazy IPAs that the breweries think are NE-style. Recommend a beer that will help me determine the truth? Lambo Door. Very good (and no, the west coast isn't nailing it in general)
(3) What's the brewer's favorite right now? Invisible Touch Helles-style lager. Again, very good.
Vibe was modern/trendy/slightly yuppie brewery overall. Staff was excellent. Friendly, engaging, very knowledgeable, very helpful. Wide variety of beers on tap, and from what I sampled, they seem to be a very good brewery. I'm planning on going back with my wife in a couple days. This is my new favorite east coast brewery.

Popped in quickly on a Friday night before a show at Brooklyn Steel, just a few blocks away. Cool, hipster, Brooklyn circa 2005 vibe inside. A little industrial feeling but with some plants and cool lighting and whatnot to dress it up a bit. It was busy and loud, with a DJ spinning some tunes next to the steel fermenters. They had an Oktoberfest on cask as a special for $7/pint. Gotta love that. The beer was delicious and I would have had another if I hadn't had a few beers already before going there. There is a food stand set up inside all the way to the left. You can order there and then grab a seat at one of the benches or at the bar. The chicken shawarma is delicious and insanely large. Even for $14, you get your money's worth. I have a large appetitie and barely managed to finish it. I also had my first Kvass here, Bublik, brewed with pumpernickel bagels and raisins. Again, the quality was high. A unique place with a newer, trendier vibe that is serving up some really quality beer.

Outrageously fun brewery with outrageously great beer and selection, in a residential section of Brooklyn NY. So many styles and all good. Small food venue as well with a artisan flare.

outstanding bar level service. younger hipster crowd but thankfully quitter spots to talk in. majority hoppy and these are better here than what travels across the state.

Stopped in with a groups of friends at 12:00 pm on a Saturday as its opened. Had planned to take the L train (which is closed for repairs), so Uber had to suffice. The place quickly filled and the vibe was high energy and fun, leaning toward Brooklyn hipster, but by no means exclusively so. Grimm has area for sitting or standing (it could easily be 2 to 3000 square feet) with three separate serving areas for beer and other drinks, packaged beer sales, and food. Seating is substantial, but largely consisted of 4 or so rows of communal style, picnic tables with perhaps 20 per row. At least two dozen brews, including cider, wines, and non-alcoholic offerings are available. I focused a bit on AWAs, which were solid (Purple Prose, in particular), but the IPA (Magnetic Compass) and stout (Double Negative) I tried were really good. I didn't eat, but those in my party who did really enjoyed it. Overall, a great place with a great selection to drink, eat, talk, and generally hang out.

They have been open for about 6 months now ....awesome atmosphere, relaxed, cool, pleasing to the eyes and the ears, inviting, friendly and professional fellas behind the bar, add in their world class IPA, double IPA, sours and stouts, available at the bar or to go, in cans, bottles or growler...the result is a world class spot to visit, have a few beers and a quality bite.
Loved it......I definitely would be a regular if I was a local...worth a special trip, or as part of a trip/crawl enjoying the best that NYC, BKLYN and Queens have to offer....Go and enjoy

First off, I love Grimm. I'm a huge fanboy, so this review is slightly biased.
The space is lovely. Industrial but still cozy with plants and high ceilings. Long bar looking out the windows visible through the shelves behind the bar. I would imagine the light is lovely in the day or summer.
Beer selection was top notch, with everything from pilsner to imperial stouts by way of sour and hoppy offerings on tap. Had nine beers, all really good. Granted, the double IPAs were a little bit similar to each other, but who cares when they taste this good!? Service was great, friendly but laid back.
Grimm don't do food themselves, but Brooklyn favorite Samesa have a pop up thing in the taproom. Had the chicken shawarma which was awesome, just the right level of heat.
Overall, I love this place, I wish I could move in...

this was one of my favorite stops from our entire trip to new york, which was basically a brewery walkabout. these guys are making some amazing beers, i knew that when we walked in, but the space and the vibe and the quality of all the beers in here just impressed me so much, as good as anyplace in the city for my money. the space is so cool, its got like an artist vibe meets minimalist danish aesthetic or something, with white furniture, tons of plants, neat and very dim intimate lighting, cleverly arranged bar area, and some neons, the whole place just felt hip and modern and cozy, busy but also mellow at the same time, a hard vibe to achieve. they even have a separate food operation right inside, we had some killer middle eastern type sandwiches and appetizers while we sipped on the killer beers. i loved pretty much all i had in here, but was most impressed with the spruce gose, the tracery blended saison, and the midheaven apricot wild beer. that said though, the hoppy stuff they had working was killer too, we didnt have anything other than a great beer in here. the service was prompt for how busy they were, informative and friendly too, people around were cool and happening, young and fashionable. amazing energy here, such a cool place to drink a beer, and such good beers happening. easily one of my favorites in the city, do not miss this place if you are anywhere in new york! exceeded even very high expectations!

12/15 Sat. 2PM arrival. Packed already !
Although VERY crowded, service was very quick and nice. (Food, snack corner was slow).
Anyhow, many selections and good atmosphere.
Oh one issue. Listed Cans to go were 6 kinds. But Only 1 was available at 3:30PM.
Others were sold out !
Anyhow, great to spend and drink craft beers.

brewery for its size is spacious..open area, there is a seated area to have drinks and some small bites, and then the bar area which has enough room to stand at. Service was very good, and staff was friendly and helpful. Selection skewered towards IPA's, but they did have Saisons, Lagers and Stouts on tap
