Slate black pour with khaki foam cap, spotted lacing. Smells like coffee, roasted malt, and earthy barley, short lived. Tastes like the bottom of a cheap dinner coffee pot that has become lukewarm. Kind of watery with coffee grounds and roast. Feel is thin and way too way for the style, not very chewy as body is shortlived roast and thin malt. Pass on this one

Brew #15 from the Hop Culture Juicy Brews box, a 12oz can poured into Surly snifter.

A: Pours a dark, cola-ish brown with a fairly large dark khaki head that leaves a little fuzzy lace.

S: Strong earthy impressions of coffee; mild roastiness and present bitterness; somewhat 'dirty' and natural. Smells nice enough, straight-forward.

T: More earthy, natural-tasting coffee with some moderate roasty bitterness and a touch of cream character. There is that impression of both espresso and fresh coffee; earthy and somewhat bitter.

MF: Dry, light body on this one.

O: One-dimensional coffee beer, definitely nothing wrong with it though. Its a dry stout, and the coffee is pleasant.

Cola black-brown, clear but dark, with a moderate puffy tan head that's slightly convex like a muffin top, settling to a bubbly surface leaving wavy sheets around the edges.

Taste also brings a cola tang, but with a woody accent. Lightly toasty malt that's a little nutty pairs with mildly bitter coffee that's old school Foldgers, even a little smoky. But again overall it's mild and earthy yet tangy.

The slick, smooth but light body has minimal carbonation and finishes just dry.

On tap at the Parched Pig. Black. Smells of coffee and light roasted malt. Tastes of coffee and roasted malt, but very low sweetness. Medium light body. Drops off in the back end and leaves a little coffee and roasty bitterness. Very pleasant stout. Light and flavorful.

Holy cow, this tastes more like a great cup of coffee than beer. Dry as hell, super roasty, some bakers chocolate/cocoa powder. Packs a lot of flavor in for a 5.5% beer.

On-tap at the brewery in St. Pete. The aroma island taste are both loaded with fresh espresso beans. A lot of coffee in this (which I like) and very tasty. Solid beer!
