12oz can. yellow color, good head. Smells like Mosaic to me, berry, pine, good. Flavor is the same, dank, piney, berry, spruce. Typical Mosaic flavors.

Pours a clear yellow golden with a decent foam in the brandy snifter. Intense aroma of cut hay, straw, and sharp green apple. Light and bright with a modest malty note. Nice showcase for Mosaic hops. Fruity with a melon taste. Bitter grapefruit rind aftertaste, but it's not overly severe. On the acidic side. Quite drinkable, clean and crisp. From the six-pack of 12 oz cans purchased at Grapevine Liquors on Monaco.

Bright, herbal and bitter- the curious nature of brewing leads Station 26 brewers to the Mosaic hop variety. Using this single-source hop on the dry foundation of American IPA allows for the full glory and limitations of this hop to announce in a bold and comprehensive taste.

Single Hop Mosaic pours bright golden and with a slim hoppy haze. A pillowy white froth gathers on the rim as the scent of white grapefruit, under-ripened orange, tangy berries and freshly muddled herb applies its grassy and citrusy perfume. The malt character underneath is slightly savory with cracker-like sweetness with a kiss of honey.

But the breadth of the beer's intent happens as the sweetness collapses and the hops take firm control of the middle palate. The sharp sour and bitter interplay of citrus fruits don't stop with orange and grapefruit, but bleed into the lemon and lime worlds as well. Hints of gooseberry and passionfruit sliver through the citrus, on its way to a bright and herbal finish of verbena, chopped chive and a curious drift of cannabis.

Dry, crisp and refreshing, the medium-light beer is further lightened by the bold carbonation, resinous bittering power of hops and the evaporative cooling of ether. Mild leaf-derived astringency plays into the bitterness with a tea-like, sassafras exotic flavor and feel. A long grassy and lemony aftertaste charms the finish with the satisfaction of a freshly mowed lawn.

Color is as clear as amber can be, with beautiful tiny bubbles that rise to the head....if there were a head. The head is nearly non existent, but that is great for me.
The nose is dank hoppy greatness.
The taste is super heavy of piney, but mixed with a tobacco flavor. Don't let this scare you though as the flavor is GREAT.
Overall above average IPA.

Poured from a 12oz can with no best by date; into a pint glass.
Appearance - very clear, bright gold; incredible amount of carbonation bubbles. Head is thick and soapy white! Lacing is thick and sticky!
Smell - dank onion and herb; very earthy.
Taste - more citrus and floral hop profile compared to the nose; flavors go from subtle to profound with each sip!
Feel - slightly tangy, mildly sweet; the mosaic hops are allowed to stand out with just enough malt balance!
Overall - the nose is a bit odd, but everything else about this IPA is strong!

12 oz can. Clear straw gold with finger head that fades slowly, lots of lace. Sweet citrus peel n floral aroma. Sweet light cracker malt taste with lots of floral and piney hops. Bitterness comes in late and maybe lasts a touch too long. Medium mouthfeel. Very solid crushable IPA.

This was my first go at their single hop series (I have had Juicy Banger). First, I love how educational this is. IPA lovers get to taste the nuances of different hops on their own merit. Really cool stuff for someone who geeks out on the flavor profiles of individual hops. So thank you station 26.

L- on the lighter side, a light crystal clear golden. Lighter than most CO IPA's which I prefer, since it usually means less malt presence. Mine had a thick white head but it dissipated quickly and left moderate lacing.
S- Tons of fruit! I get tropical fruit, and strawberries(?) and a bit of onion at the end (I think that is what I get when other reviewers describe "dank")
T- Fruity hops upfront then slight grassy, onion (very slight) into a wave of bitterness. This is not balanced but its not really a knock. If it had a touch more sweetness it would probably amplify the fruit (make it more juicy) and all but remove the grassy onion for me, which would improve it IMO - but at the same time I don't want more maltiness because I want the single hop to shine with little competition - just a touch extra sweetness.
F- dry and bubbly, leaves bitterness that evaporates pretty quickly after each sip.
O- An excellent IPA. Similar to Lizard King by PW with a little more body. Love that they let the hops shine on a light malt base, I think a smidge more sweetness (not caramel malt) would take it to another level.

12oz can, dated 3.17.16, poured into a Pipeworks snifter glass.

The beer pours a bright gold color, very clear and bright, with a finger or so of white head, soapy and frothy that has decent retention and leaves spots of lace behind. The aroma is fine, a bit vegetal, herbal, earthy, some bright citrus cuts through as it opens up, but it's a bit dirty and grassy and isn't my favorite iteration of mosaic. The flavors are an improvement, still a bit vegetal and earthy, some herbal qualities meet bright fruit, fairly juicy and bright with some citrus and crusty cereal grains linger. The bitterness is pretty mild but there is some sharpness and dryness to this beer as well that gives it a bite. The mouthfeel is good, lighter medium body, good carbonation, liveliness, it coats the palate fairly well and finishes sharply.

Verdict: A pretty solid IPA from Station 26. Mosaic isn't my favorite hop, and this is a pretty good reminder as to why, but it does offer a lot of hop punch at 6.8% and would be a pretty worthy beer for any hop head to seek out.

Pours a frosty dark yellow with a medium-thick foamy white head. Head retention is strong with good lacing scattered around the glass. Dark fruits, berries, and resin and dank hop notes make a delicious and enticing IPA aroma. The flavor profile opens with berries and exceptional dank and resin hop notes. It tastes and feels a bit sticky, which is great. The hoppy flavor notes linger for a while. Mouth feel is medium-thick, with smooth and filling attributes. Overall, a very pleasant and fun brew. I got this in a trade and it's tempting to trade for more. Especially with the rotating hop varieties.

Served in a 12oz snifter.

From a 12 oz can to a tulip. Reviewed from notes dated April 5, 2016. Multiple cans tasted.

A-The beer looks like an IPA should look (sorry milkshake/NE-style fans). It is clear with a nearly white head of dense foam. The head leaves some lacing on the glass and retention is good. The color is lighter than average for the style.

S-The aroma is lovely hop-forward aroma. It is slightly pungent and earthy, but with good notes of melon, pine, grapefruit, and a light whiff of tart lime. Malts are nicely balancing and suggest toast and honey.

T-The taste is similar. Pungent, earthy flavors start each sip, but I don't get onion or garlic. Those earthy flavors fade to melon, pine bitterness, and grapefruit. Simple but solid. The honey malt sweetness backs up the hops nicely. The finish suggests lime and a bit of tropical flavor, and leaves a lingering leafy bitterness.

M-The body is light to medium in heft with a perfectly crisp moderate amount of carbonation.

O-I really like what Station 26 is doing with the canned Single Hop series beers. Between this and Citra, I don't need to drink a whole lot of other IPAs. There is nothing haze-crazy or juicy or overly tropical here, but this is a damn good representation of the style.

12 ounce into an oversized tulip.

Appearance is perfection. Color and clarity are almost pilsner-like with a head that is frothy, sudsy, and just over the top. Tons of lace. This looks beautiful. 5

Onion/garlic hit me first. Not my favorite aromas to get in IPAs though some dig that shit. Beneath is a deliciously fruity dose of all dem tropical fruits, so work past the burger topping. 3.5

Flavor rights things. Still a tad oniony, but much less than the nose. More like unripe mango and papaya. Grassy and earthy notes carry things out. Flavors are nice and clean and do wonders to help me forget the aroma. Resinous and piney notes emerge and do an excellent segue into the fruit. This will always remind me of the prickly, spininess of pineapple. 3.75

Drinks light and refreshingly. Hints of juiciness and a touches of sweet malt and bread that play their role well. Bitterness stretches over the course of each sip rather than hitting in one thrust. Finishes dry and prickly. 4.25

This is good. I think it was brewed well and all that. But the mosaic hop does not seem to be cooperating with folks this year. I love this least from my past experiences. But this onion shit is kind of hectic. The bad seed. And it's rearing its head with mosaic beers of late. This beer does a great job of still tasting pretty damn good though.
