Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic Pint.

Appearance: Amber gold with nice sized cap and some lacing.

Smell: Mostly sweet orange and grapefruit. Slight toastiness.

Taste: Toasted malt backbone with strong citrus on top - mostly sweet orange and grapefruit. Slight earthiness and a touch of dankness. Somewhat bitter on the finish, but mostly very well balanced.

Feel: Medium body that is light for an IPA. Decent carbonation with a dry finish.

Overall: Nice, everyday, easy drinking IPA.

L: Pours brilliant amber under a 2” off-white foam cap.
S: spice, malt and rich hops.
T: Enough malt to provide a firm backbone but not too much so as to dominate the hops, good hop finish, bitterness is not harsh. Some light biscuit but not a lot of fruit character.
F: Medium body and medium carbonation.
O: A little one dimensional but refreshing and easy to drink.

Currently contract brewed at Sand Creek Brewing. No bottle date. Pours a clear amber with a solid finger of head that slowly settled to a thick cap. Moderate amount of sticky lacing is left down the glass.

The aroma reminds me a bit of Mad Hatter from New Holland. Perfume of flowers, herbs, grass, and a bit of citrus and pine. There is a slightest hint of sweetness from the malt.

Sort of a old school West Coast IPA. The malt does not add much flavor, just a touch of toasted biscuit but that is about it. The hop flavor comes through very well with a good flavor payoff for the bitterness level. Hop flavor of citrus, pine, and floral qualities. The label says a combination of old and new American hops, but it tastes totally old school to this drinker which is not a problem. Maybe not that exciting for some.

Really like the body, carbonation and the overall texture. Nice smooth, but lively feel.

A very enjoyable IPA. I have been very impressed with Lake Monster so far.

a substantial malt presence but it has such a nice citrus hop flavor that consistent throughout with little backside bitter. While not a very complex IPA, it certainly is a pleasing one to drink.

Pours a crystal clear amber/gold with a nice thick meringue like head.

Smell has got some punch to it, impressive for a 'single' style IPA. A Harbinger of good things to come. Creamy and citrusy like an orange dream bar. Tastes about the same with a nice piney bitterness. Delicious!

Mouthfeel is nice. Respectable carb. Doesn't have that creaminess that I look for in a potential rival to Bell's Two Hearted.

Awesome IPA. Bang for your buck. Definitely adding this one into the rotation.

This beer pours a clear bright orange color. The head is small, and recedes quickly into no lacing. The aroma is of noble hop spices, pine, passion fruit and tangerine. This is a unique aroma for an IPA, and it works. The taste is similar to the aroma with a nice bitterness in the finish that recedes quickly. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation. Overall, this is a nice if not memorable IPA. I would drink this if offered, but can't see myself buying it with all of the current shelf options.

A- Pours a bit lighter than copper. Huge white head falls down into a half finger. Fairly active carbonation
S- A bit sweet on those. A bit of cookie, some grapefruit, and some earth. Mild for the style, but pleasant. As it warms, citrus becomes a bit more pronounced.
T- It leans a touch too heavy on the malt, but I still like where they are going. Again a bit sweet, but midsip grapefruit and some pine notes take over.
M- A bit thin on the carbonation and body. For as sweet of an IPA as I found it, it lacked a bit of body depth for me.
O- A pretty good IPA. A bit standard but still an easy drinking and enjoyable beer.
