On tap at Toronado SD, into a pint

Damn. Cellarmaker is quickly becoming my favorite brewer of hoppy ales, and I've had them all (as a matter of speaking). A lot like my description of Questionable Origins #3, if a little hoppier, pinier. But insanely quaffable and tasty.

Pours a pale gold, nice and bright. The liquid is pretty cloudy. Rocky white head that leaves some lacing down the walls of the glass. There's huge pineapple in the aroma, just a big old burst of juice. It's a little bit vegetal, though that might be from freshness - they put it on today. It's all hops. Some pine. Interestingly dank. Lime, honeysuckle, tangerine. It's a whole bunch of sweet, juicy hops that leans heavily towards tropical fruit. Taste is full of hop flavor, as I've come to expect from Cellarmaker. Lots more tropical citrus. Big on pineapple, again. Fairly dry but still juicy and easy to drink. Very light malt lends little flavor, maybe just a hint of simple sweetness in the background. Bitterness is mild. Crisp, light feel. It seems a bit more effervescent than some of their beers. This is really nice stuff. Cellarmaker makes awesome hoppy beers, and this is no exception.

16oz glass on-tap at TRB.

A: Served a slightly cloudy citrus golden color with a soft looking off-white head that slowly faded into a lasting fuzzy collar. Spotty lace was left down the glass.
S: Huge tropical fruit nose mixed with dank hops and grass clippings. Definitely a citra and nelson bomb.
T: Follows the nose with tropical fruits all the way. Very juicy overall as well and fruit nectar forward. I get a kiss of grass in there as well. The finish is sweet and juicy and the aftertaste is grassy, bitter, and lingering.
M: Medium-full body with soft and tingly carbonation made up of dense bubbles. Mouthfeel is chewy but not thick. Overall it’s light enough enjoy but I wouldn’t call this crisp or especially dry.
O: A super juicy and delicious ipa. Flavors are very fresh and potent. Another winner.

Pours a clear bright gold with orange edges. Eggshell white head dissipates pretty quickly. Huge tropical fruit Citra nose with pineapple, sweet orange. Taste is exceptionally hoppy but not overly bitter. Citra plays huge here but I also get notes of the white grape throughout the palate that the Nelson is providing. Cellarmaker kills it with the dual hop IPAs: Hop Killah (Citra/SImcoe) and Permanent Daylight (Citra/Nelson).
