Double Dobis is our Citra hopped Double IPA. This batch is purposely hopped with 3 different lots of Citra so you can truly wrap your head around this beautiful hop variety. Regular Dobis was really the first Pale Ale we ever made. Since it’s inception it has been one of our favorite beers so it made a ton of sense to double it down on our 1st anniversary and make Double Dobis. We’ve been hooked on this beer ever since. Excessive quantities of Citra equate to intense pineapple, melon, mandarin and lychee character. Bring your friends the gift of fresh Double Dobis for July 4th this year.

This pours a tan gold with slight haze. I am blown away by the aroma. Pow! Wow! Big citrusy juicy aroma. The flavor just pops with citrus goodness. Fan freakin' tastic. One of the best beers I've had this past year.

Nose is overripe pineapple. Taste follows with pineapple with a little starfruit and finishes with honeyed cantaloupe with the overripe pineapple in the background with pretty balanced green bitterness.

Fresh can from lupulo. Canned about a week prior.
They nailed the pineapple flavor of citra hard. Damn!
This is actually a world-class juicy ipa.
A side by side with king Sue would be nice. I think this is better though.

A real banger that highlights cellarmaker's take on hops. I miss the OG labeling. Too bad major corps tend to hire teams of dicks to protect branding from being misappropriated.

1 day old growler poured into a stemless wine glass.

L: Pours bronze orange with less than 1/2 finger of medium density white head that dissipates fairly quickly, but still leaves sporadic sticky spotty lacing.

S: Tropical and dynamic, lots of passion fruit and mango. Loved the nose!

T: Very good, but not quite on the same level as the nose. More citrus (lime) and berry aspects than on the nose. Finishes with mild bitterness and slight acidity, acidity lingers on the palate.

F: Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation, full on the tongue with slight tingling of acidity from carbonation, silky finish.

O: An outstanding Citra single-hop DIPA. Scary easy drinking for 8.5%, and very delicious for my palate and preferences. It's so interesting to see how different the emphasis flavors and aroma attributes can be between brewers for the same hop. I find this Citra single-hop DIPA far more approachable than Fieldwork's King Citra, but I like them immensely for different reasons.

On tap at Toronado in SF.

A clear orange with a thin white head with decemt retention and lacing. The nose is bright juicy, bitter and mildly dank. Fruity with peach, mango, papaya and loads of citrus. Pulpy mango and peach with a little pineapple with lots of sumo mandarin and tangerine. Alcohol is well hidden. The palate opens with a bright bitterness, juicy, citrusy and mildly pine like. Peach, mango, papaya, honey, tangerine, mild pine, there's just layers of flavor here. Minimal malt character, the finish is long and mildly bitter, though there is a lingering fruit character. Medium light in body and softly carbonated, this beer is most excellent.

On tap at Spokeasy Public House

A: Pours golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little thin lacing.

S: Big tropical fruit, zesty citrus, spicy dank herbal notes, biscuity malt, and light caramel sweetness.

T: Tropical fruit, pineapple, papaya, passion fruit, gooseberry, and mango, zesty citrus, lime and orange, slight spicy herbal notes, biscuity malt, and light caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: They pulled some awesome flavors out of those hops. Dangerously drinkable.
