I've been here a couple of times, most recently last night. Neither experience was bad, but neither was that great either. I doubt I'll give them a third chance, as there are so many other new craft breweries popping up around here that I'd like to try (and established ones where I know I'll get good service and a quality product).
Strike one: Consistency. I've had a couple of their beers on different occasions, with noticeable variation in quality (e.g. one batch of their "Pineapple Grenade" wheat beer was quite tasty, a few weeks later it was "meh").
Strike two: Pricing. Their board lists growler fills at $15; I was charged $17 (I asked ahead of time if all growler fills cost the same, and she confirmed they did, so it wasn't that I ordered a "premium" beer that cost more). To make matters worse, the server didn't know how to properly fill a growler - by the time I got it home, the foam had settled and my growler was more than an inch below the fill line; nobody likes paying for foam (not to mention the excess foam meant a lot of CO2 had been liberated, so the beer in my growler was half flat when I opened it).
Strike three: Service. Although the servers were prompt enough, they seemed uninterested/bored, and didn't really know some of the basics about their offerings (ABVs, IBU's, flavor profiles), much less how to fill a growler, as mentioned above. I also was a little put off by the fact that they had their dinner plates of tacos (from the food truck outside) sitting right next to the taps. I'm not 100% certain that's a health code violation, but servers eating with their hands before handling my drink glass doesn't sit well with me.
I was also disappointed that two of their beers were unavailable the last time I went in, but that is not unheard of for nano-breweries, where the delicate balance between supply and demand can be hard to find. But with everything else factored in, it was just another disappointment that will discourage me from going back.

Beers and service were okay but, good Lord! The air freshener smell was a real turnoff. The air was so heavy with the smell of Glade we had to leave. Otherwise we may have stayed for a second round.

The place smelled pretty bad when I walked in, like body odor and something awful. It was probably the dog that was walking around licking stuff. The place was pretty crowded but there was enough seating. The wait staff were nice but clearly overwhelmed with people waiting for pints and growlers, trying to get a few bites to eat in-between serving customers. The crowd was largely comprised of younger drinkers and the place really had the vibe of a college dive bar versus the old-timer veterans feel; random torn chairs and couches with a few tables and knickknacks were strewn about like a dorm room. Definitely more of an emphasis "young" than "veterans." There were a lot of flies and other bugs inside the building to the point where I had to keep fanning over my glass to keep them from diving into my beer. The bar was very short, allowing only a few people to stand or sit near which causes a line to spill out into the seating area (another room). They do offer active and veteran military discounts on beer, and I noticed various fund-raiser fliers scattered around inside which are both very commendable. The beer was also very good. This just isn't the environment I would want to enjoy it in. I recommend filling growlers and going from there...

Traveled from mass on a basketball tournament vacation and sought these guys out after being recommended by some local beer drinkers. Due to my schedule we showed up 2 hours before they opened. Not only did they let me in, they were extremely hospitable, friendly, and deservedly proud! All four of the beers I sampled were tremendous, the double ipa was my favorite however the citra hop ipa was fantastic as was the stout! Getting ready to have the pineapple grenade!! Great beer, great people, all around reccomend!!!

The overall atmosphere of the taproom is good. There is cool copper and wood art in the tasting room. The bar only has four stools, but that is overcome by the appearance of the attractive bartenders. Favorites from this brewery so far are the rye ipa, IPL, and their honey blonde.

Read previous review and had my worries about seating and the place was crowded on a Saturday at 4:30. That being said, maybe others complained of seating b/c the seating in the front area is small but they have a back area for seating as well so my wife and I did not have to stand. The service was quick and friendly and after my wife and I finished our flight someone came up to ask if we wanted anything, which we ordered a pint of our favorites, and they were on our table in about a minute. We actually ate there - some great local brick oven pizza "food truck" (not really a truck) but I guess the food trucks rotate so it's hit or miss. As for the beer, a few of the six they make right now are really good and I'd have to say that this is the best brewery in the Va Beach/Norfolk area (still give Williamsburg the thumbs up in the entire 757).

Ehhh...walking in the place the first impression was they are very small, like Beach Brewing small. No seats open, which is fine, they are new, it was a Saturday, I get it.

So I walk up to the bar and order my flight. Then proceeded to have to wait ten minutes because all the flight glasses were gone. Glassware is cheap, I've bought in bulk before, you never ever should have your customers waiting because you don't have glasses. They are new so I forgive them.

Then she sits the five beers (they were out of Jet Noise, the main reason I wanted to come by since it has won awards, I wanted to try it) on the bar basically in front of the people sitting there. So there they are, five glasses and me with no place to stand to drink them, and they weren't on a paddle or tray or anything, so I had to call my wife over to grab a couple glasses to help me carry them away to an area with a side table.

Soon people left and we got to sit. The beers were solid, though nothing I'd go out of my way to get. Perhaps that will change when I try Jet Noise but I doubt it.

They are likely going through growing pains so I will be back to change my review after I visit them again, but as it stands they have their work cut out for them with beer geeks. Though I am sure they will do well with the Military theme they have in a Military town.
