Pours murky with a dirty gold color. Tiny head but it leaves decent streaks for lace.
Piney, citrus nose. Some light sweetness on the malt side. I get some butterscotch notes. Overall, a smooth attractive smell.
Fruity start with a strong bitter cut. Strong carbonation with a below average body. The aftertaste is primarily bitter--a bit of a one trick pony.

Served in a standard pint. Poured a translucent orange-gold with a quarter inch bright white head that dissipates into a bubbly skim. Nose is very faint - a little malt, a little wheat and a little citrus. Taste is malty sweet - corn, bready/biscuity/wheat and only the slightest hops presence. Mouthfeel is light-medium (closer to light) with a pleasant carbonation. Not a bad beer, but not really what I look for in an IPA.

On-tap 6/19/10 at Track 84 in Warwick, RI, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is of caramelized malts, citrus and some hops.
T: The taste starts out with a very hearty malt character and sweet flavors of caramel, citrus and some spices. The hops presence is a little subdued and is very weak for the style but is enough to provide a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and very smooth, medium-to-heavy body, medium carbonation, finish is sticky.
D: Tasty, goes down easily, slightly filling, decent kick, overall it's a good beer that is worth drinking for a while.
