I'm pretty sure this beer was brewed to benefit something that has to do with the town of Westfield, MA and was brewed in a small quantity. Thats all I got though so if you have more info please share!

A semi hazy golden orange color with some visible carbonation. Medium sized head that retreats to leave a thin cloudy layer of film over the top of the beer.

A smooth semi sweet maltyness prevails but does not cancel out all hoppyness, which gives it a slight aroma of fruit. Has that sort of signature BBC smell that I love, not sure what it is exactly.

The taste just reminds me of fall. Matches the smell with the signature bbc taste. The maltyness reminds me of german beers. A little hoppyness at the end balances out the sort of sweet flavors that come first though.

The body is on the heavier side of medium which helps to fight any sort of pricklyness from the decent level of carbonation. Does not come off flat by any means either though. Nice balance of body and carb here. Very drinkable.

Overall 4- BBC has still never let me down after all these years of drinking their stuff quite regularly. This one almost reminds me of a lighter more crisp version of their oktoberfest but with the hops that come in at the end to give it a little balance it could be a "pale ale", Im not sure. Either way I think they should widen the distribution on this one. Its flavorful but very drinkable, I think it'd do well!!

22 oz bomber into a wide mouth pint glass. Another BBC charity beer. "Proceeds from the sale of this limited edition will go to Westfield on Weekends". A litle bit of research shows that this is a tweaked version of their river ale. Not sure what the real story is here though, as its missing the sweetness of that beer and has a lot more spiciness.

A - Dark copper body. Semi-opaque with some very fine particles floating around and suspended. Never seen a beer do that before. One finger dirty off white head with large bubbles. Decent amount of lacing.

S - Caramel malts, toffee, nuts and piney hops. The hops provide a bit of grapefruit sweetness, but the dominant aroma here is mild toasty malts.

T - Smooth caramel and toffee with a piney hop finish. A bit of an alcoholic warmth on the end. Very fall like with some faint spices. Medium bodied mouth feel with a bit of creaminess to it.

O - Who the hell releases a marzen in the spring? Anyways its a nice beer that gets some help from some fruity and piney hops. Props to BBC for releasing another charity beer.
