The reason I rate this so poorly is because all of the sweet maltiness that used to make this a unique IPA is now gone and it now tastes like most other hop bombs out there, very disappointed. Not what it used to be for me.

Incredibly tasty and one of the most balanced beers I've had in the IPA genre. Definitely English malt focused, but sweet citrus aromas and complimentary flavors are fantastic. Well done all around.

The appearance has a hazy copper orange body that leaves a one finger foamy white head that lasts for a good minute before gently dieing into the body. The body is too hazy for any carbonation to be seen rising. Some mild spotty foamy lacing coats the pint glass. The smell has some light citrus, hops and malts combined very nicely. The taste is mostly the same adding a nice extra lingering sweetness. On the palate, she sits about a medium with nothing harsh on the tongue. I would say this is a fairly sessionable beer. Overall, this is a pretty good English IPA, good for the style and good for me.

Poured from the can into a pint glass at Bukowski's Tavern in Boston.

Pour a slightly hazy coppery amber.

The smell is floral and bready, smells very British.

The taste is very solidly English, malty, bready with a soft bitterness picking up the rear.

Mouthfeel is soft and medium bodied.

Very nice English IPA, you coukd easily have 5 of this in a row without palate fatigue.

L: Very pretty brew: thick blonde-copper color with a rich white head. Plenty of lacing and lots of small bubbling from the bottom of the cup.

S: Forward fruity and hoppy smell with a good amount of malt sneaking through. Smell does fade away pretty rapidly, but when the bottle was first uncapped it smelled great.

T: Kind of a bitter-sweet-bitter thing going on with this guy. Starts off sharp bitter then sweet overcomes the hop flavor before hitting you one last time on the end. Really great in consecutive gulps as it seems to bring out the sweetness. single sips, alternatively, come off more bitter to me. There is a lot going on here in terms of which hits when, but there is one predominant hop flavor and one predominant sweet flavor that trade off. Pretty interesting to drink.

F: Nothing spectacular in terms of mouthfeel. Sort of thin but very bubbly/fizzy.

O: Not a bad brew! Great for a sunny day, and can deffinitely get you tipsy at 5.8%. Totally drinkable, I would recommend giving it a try.
