Something odd about the flavor. Not totally unpleasant, but wouldn't buy again.

Poured a red copper color with 5F head in a Brooklyn Oktoberfest glass. The head slowly subsided to 1F.

Excellent aroma: sweet, strong fruit and malt, perhaps a bubblegum aroma.Very fragrant. One of the best aromas of any Maibock I have tasted.

MF: very tart.

Taste: follows the aroma. Fruity and malty finished with a sharp light bitterness.

Overall, one of the best Maibocks I have tasted. Great continuity from aroma to finish.

Although a colder temp is recommended, I enjoyed this beer more close to 50F, when the fruit and malt is more pronounced. I also like the style better in an Oktoberfest glass.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a big pilsner glass.
A - Blended copper and yellow color, wonderful clarity, a gentle lager train of slow
carbonation rises, no cap, nice ring.
S - Malty biscuit, pumpernickle cracker, a touch of brown sugar, faintest noble hop flora.
T - Wonderful malt display, not heavy handed, light touch of sweet then a delightful semi dry finish.
M - Full palate coating, gentle exit and malty finish.
O - A seasonal favorite, this years is quite good, balanced and delicious.
Cheers all
