White Ipa with Sorachi Ace
I went to Brassneck shortly after they opened and was impressed with the place. They opened with 8 solid beers and were drawing a large crowd.
Grabbed a growler of their Free Radical today, and it was a decent wait to get it. Saturday at Brassneck is popular!
Poured from a growler, filled about 20mins ago.
Appearance: I finger pure white head, with a cloudy light orange/amber colour.
Aroma: Citrussy, orange peel, lemon zest hoppiness. Peppery spice. White wine notes.
Taste: Very similar to the aroma; citrus/white wine, the sorachi is dominant, with a good bitter hit. Extremely drinkable and moreish.
Mouthfeel: slightly viscous, but refreshing.
Overall: A fantastic beer and just one of several solid Brassneck brews. Will definitely be reviewing more from here. Now if I could just get a seat in this place on the weekend!
