Notes:
Arrows of Neon is a Berkliner weisse aged in oak barrels with lemon peels and lime peels. This lightly tart and quite crushable sour displays bright notes of citrus zest and clocks in at a sessionable.

Thanks to eyebereej for sending this bottle! Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Poured from a 750mL bottle into an El Catador Barrel-Aged glass.
A: Hazy gold with a good amount of active carbonation. Forms a thin white head though it fades essentially immediately.
S: Lactic tart with a fairly big citric acid kick and citrus peel. Modest Lactobacillus funk and some cheesy must. Some mild vinous character and oak tannins. Light cracker malt body.
T: Lactic tart and lemon juicy citric acid. Moderate funk on the tongue again - cheese and feet. White vinous tannins mix with the Lacto funk. Citrus pith and juice, and a light cracker malt body underneath the oak tannins. But the juicy bitter citrus is the big player here - almost like a key lime. Dry and tart in the hang.
M: A light body and almost no alcohol flavors at all. Carbonation sensation seems a bit on the low side.
O: Tasty and easy to drink. Nice tartness but not overly sour or acidic, and a nice citrus fruit presence for sure.

On tap at the brewery.
Golden yellow orange.
The lemon and lime show a lot. Very citrusy. Light acidity. Decent tartness. A little mouth puckering.
Light bodied. Easy to drink. Bubbly. Ends clean and dry.

On tap at Hop Grenade in Concord, Ca.
Rare Barrel usually pleases and this offering is no exception. Pours an apricot orange with a white head that disappears almost instantly. Smells of lemons, limes and hints of apricot and green stone fruits. Body is medium and dry with nice carbonation, good balance and a nice tart quality. All in all inviting.
Taste profile actually follows the nose with lemon, lime and green stone fruit character and flavors. This is clean and dry. Well done, . . . again.

Growler poured into the new TRB stemmed ware.
A: Pours a deep golden color with a thin, short lived fizzy white head that faded to a lasting collar.
S: Smells of freshly zested lemon and lime rind. Hints of tart lactic and the grainy base beer poke through. Very spritzy and fragrant fresh citrus. Smells just like cutting open the fresh fruit.
T: Lemon lime hit first, not as juicy as the nose but definitely tons of flavor. Tastes like homemade lemon-lime sprite with just a kiss of tart acidity. Very clean and refreshing. Light flavors overall. Dry tart citrus lingers in the aftertaste.
M: Medium body, clean and crisp mouthfeel, chewy and spritzy carb.
O: Highly drinkable. Incredible smell. Super bright and pleasant citrus compliments the light Berliner style.

On tap at the brewery into a tulip glass. A nice deep yellow with a hint of orange in color. I was hopeful of even more of the lemon and lime to shine individually, but I ended up with a smell and a taste of acidic fruit and I didn't think it was super distinguishable. That being said this is a really nice sour beer
