Kerfuffle is a Berklinier weisse aged in oak barrels with raspberries and strawberries. Lightly tart and downright refreshing, this golden sour displays notes of berries and citrus fruits.

A: Poured into a tulip glass to a deep golden orange beer which is topped by a finger of dense and rocky white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of sour raspberries and strawberries with hints of sourness and oak
T: Taste is strawberries and raspberries with some building sourness. Nice oak and a hint of pale malt to keep things balanced with a touch of funk. On the finish there's more raspberries and strawberries with lingering sourness and oak.
M: This beer has a body which is on the lighter side of medium with lightly effervescent carbonation. The acidity gives the beer a drying finish.
O: Overall this is a really nice beer. the fruit flavors are there but not overpowering and there's enough going on with the base beer to add some nice balance. Really well done.

2021 Vintage.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 5/8 inch off white, very light pinkish head over a pinkish orange body with lacing.
Nose of raspberries and strawberries with slight citrus and very slight oak.
Taste is all of the above with a bit of caramel malt on the finish.
Very tasty, tart, and quite refreshing.
Real nice mouth filling feel.
Overall, I don't think there's a kerfuffle between the raspberries and strawberries at all as they seem to be getting along quite well in my glass, thank you very much!
Cheers!

Wanted to like this beer but the aroma was off putting, which lowered the score for me.

On draft at PapPo's Pizzeria. Poured a pinkish, red color with a small, white head with pink highlights. It left some sudsy lacing. It smelled of strawberry, raspberry, tart lemon and some caramel. Tart raspberry, sweet strawberry taste with some caramel and toffee.

13 oz pour at Lures Bar & Grille. Lots of tart, slightly sweet raspberry and strawberry, with a smaller amount of oak and funk. Mouthfeel is dry and moderately carbonated. Overall a solid oak-aged wild fruited sour.

one of my favorites i have had from these guys in awhile, i feel like their beers have been getting better and better recently, this is a funky wild berliner type done with raspberries and strawberries, lightly pinkish orange in color, fizzy from the bottle, not quite clear, but it smells fresh and really appealing. its tart enough to be mouthwatering but not harsh enough to be bracing, i get lemon and orange in addition to the fruit thats actually in here, even a rose wine note too with the raspberries, but its the strawberries that run the show here, sweet and ripe and natural, they really stand out, very sexy! the flavor is fantastic, the strawberries well in front of the raspberry, lots of oak, clean sourness with a little bretty funkiness too, not overly acidic, complex with the barrels for sure. there is an organic nature to this, with some grain coming through and the realness of the fruit, a bit of jammy sweetness from the strawberries balances the sour well, and the flavors come back after the swallow even though this is dry. nice carbonation, medium body, well hidden higher abv, and just a really cool expression of these berries, more complex than anticipated, and unique as a berliner goes, more fermentation forward obviously, and downright delicious overall! 2018 vintage drinking exceptionally well right now!

If anyone was wondering, this beer was listed at 7.8% abv at the Bistro's barrel aged festival in 2018.
I'm not sure if this is the regular golden sour base they use, because of its classification as a berliner weisse, I would think it would be slightly different (wheat) than their normal base (100% barley, or at least that is what I think it would be). Anyways, a hazy golden yellow appearance turns slightly orange with the red/pink fruit additions, 1/4" white head. The aroma was a feint amount of raspberry, the strawberry as more prominent in like a 80/20 split intensity wise.
They nailed the strawberry character just as good as anyone, immediately brought up thoughts of Ichigo Highway with a couple of years (whereby all 'plastic' aspects of the beer have vanished, quite the exception to the fruit beer rule about them degrading with age, which is still a good general rule). The mouth feel is nice and light, I'm frankly skeptical that the abv was as high as 7.8 in this, just was so much lighter. I generally hate amped up berliners, but jeez, this was soft, light, respectably (not over) sour and hid the alcohol amazingly well. Very fun beer, would even buy a bottle if it was around $20.
