Notes:
Hypnotized is a red sour beer aged in unrinsed Ensorcelled barrels, which makes it part of our Echo Series. Hints of the Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and raspberries from Ensorcelled deepen the complexity of Hypnotized. This Echo Series release presents traces of juicy raspberries and lemon tarts.

Poured from a 750ml bomber into a teku:
Appearance: pours a combo color of like brick-red and cranberry purple at the same time. Carries a finger or two of sudsy, off-white head that dissipates over thirty seconds or so into nothingness. No lacing to speak of. Pretty turbid in color, no visibility through the brew.
Aroma: lemon rind and raspberry, through and through. Starts with the tartness and lacto scent, and follows with some sweet raspberry notes. Maybe a touch of oak? It's quite subtle.
Taste: reaaaaaaally spot-on with the raspberry flavor in this brew. Lemony, tart, and puckering on the start.....got some red-wine/balsamic vinegar in the middle, and a super sweet, but totally natural tasting raspberry punch on the finish. This is a beautiful ode to raspberries, no doubt.
Feel: medium-bodied with a lot of chewiness for a sour that clocks in at 6% and feels super crisp on the finish.
Overall: this was an excellent sour; though at this point I'm not sure that RB puts out a bad one. Drank it at the beach, and loved every sip.
